question? my friend and I would love to eat here, however, we are going to disney to celebrate DD 21st. birthday, who wouldn't mind, however, she is a Pain on eating, she rather have Childrens chicken nuggets or burgers, now we have the DDP, so could we eat and I could just pay for her to eat off the childrens menu, if they would let her. do you think they would let her order off the kids menu ?

I was under the assumption that you could use 2 TS for you and your friend and pay cash for DD, but they won't let her get a kid meal...9 and under only.

My son will be 20 in March, and husband and I are doing super restaurant tour with Deluxe dining on an anniversary trip in October while son is away at college. Very interested in comments on this thread, as when we return to Disney for a family trip, we will be facing this same dilemma. Son is a chicken nugget guy only, and he's even very picky about his pizza!

We've been highly recommended Narcoose, and would love to go back with our son just for the view!

But what will he eat?

Ah, there's always dessert.

nice to meet you, my dd will be 21 in feb. but such a PIA when it comes to eating, she is such a simple food eater, like he ch pcs. or hamburger/ch, but I on the other hand, especially with the ddp , would like to get my moneys worth and enjoy all the good stuff, wouldn't mind if i could order from kids menu, this way she is happy and I am also

Son won't even eat hamburgers. We thought college would change that. He'll eat grilled chicken, if it's prepared just right. That is, plain, no sauces!

I love scallops, and I'm hoping to substitute the lobster with scallops on some of the dishes. I've seen some reviews where people did that.

Looking forward to hearing your trip report!

My brother is the same way. He's 21 and pretty much lives off of pizza. He'll also eat a lot of bread products, like bagels, waffles, pancakes, etc. But that's pretty much it. No meat at all, but can't really call him a vegetarian because he won't eat vegetables! He may or may not be joining me at Disney on my next trip, in which case we will definitely not use the dining plan (at least not for him). He loves desserts though. Apparently there are some people starting to do research into this trend: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10193/1072225-114.stm. I'm curious to see what comes out of it!

Anyway, back to Narcoossee's, we ate there and loved it. The menu as you probably know is a little more upscale and most of the items feature various sauces and other things picky eaters probably won't like, so if your daughter is picky I would definitely stick to the kid's menu - she can order off of it as long as you pay for her meal out of pocket (and if she's going to order off the significantly cheaper kid's menu, I wouldn't waste the dining credits on it anyway). As long as she's comfortable (not embarrassed) to ask for the kid's menu it shouldn't be a big deal.

Our experience has been that WDW signature restaurants will accomodate your dining whims. They are happy to serve a dish either without the sauce or on the side. We have also changed sides without any problem.

We've also had them double the portion size to make it an adult portion.

Thanks for this info. We just caught a segment last night on Dateline about the new study. My 28 year old husband is the same way. Lives off of frozen cheese pizzas & bread products, waffles, pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, french fries and a few other things. No meat, no fruit & no veggies. Disney was "okay" for him but he got sick of the pizza real quick. The breakfasts were the best bet for him. Even grilled cheeses were hard to find (since he's picky about the type of cheese & bread that they use).
