Have you been? What did you like or not? We'd like to try it on our next visit but I haven't heard all that much.

We love Narcoossee's, it's one of our favorites. We go there nearly every trip, and the food, wine and service are very good.

The surf and turf I ordered in January of this year wasn't as good as usual, though. The lobster was overcooked, and the filet medallions had no flavor. My DD's friend had the filet, though, and it was juicy and delicious - so I'm not sure if they use a different cut for the surf and turf, or it just was overcooked, but it wasn't very good. I should have sent it back, but I never do that.

That was an aberration, though. There was a period a little over two years ago where the food quality took a dive, but they switched chefs and it has been excellent overall since. We usually order fish, and love the almond cheesecake dessert.

I LOVE NARCOOSSEE'S!!!

There aren't many people on the dis who will tell you to not go or that they disliked it.

Food is good, service is good, views are the best, dessert (aka almond crusted cheesecake) is the best thing ever, even the plain caesar salad is something to write home about, but I'm a sucker for oversized pieces of grated parmeasan and whole romaine hearts.

It has become our must-do restaurant for every trip on the last night of our trip.

This was probably the best place we ate ate on our vacation. Everything was tasty. Like another poster we also had the surf and turf. It was quqite possibly the best food I have ever had in my life. I ate what my wife was unable to finish. (the portions are huge) The wishes fireworks were awesome and we had a decent view since we were sitting by the windows. It would have been better if people weren't standing in front of the windows on the deck in front blocking the view (that kind of made me mad) but we made the best of it and at the end of the meal our waitress surprised us with a "Happy Anniversary" cake. It was really good. :thumbsup2

We love it too. We have had many great dinners there. The setting is great, food is excellent. If you get a chance -- wander out on the deckfro a minute or two with your beverage of choice -- no better way to soak in some magiocal Disney atmosphere. (If you get lucky on timing, you can see Wishes, or the Water Pageant).

We ate there for the very first time just before Christmas 2008. Yum yum yum! DH and I had the surf & turf and DD had the scallops. My filet was just as rare and tender as I could ask for and the lobster was lovely and tender as well. DH's filet was well done (what a waste to me). The only disappointment was that DD's scallops were a little burned on the outside.

Had a great view for Wishes except for the tall guy standing right in front of me. It was a chilly night and DH didn't want to go outside so DD and I stayed in with him. I wouldn't have wanted to miss my lovely meal, but I did want to see Wishes. :rolleyes1

Go -- you'll enjoy it!

Went here for DH's 40th birthday last year and it has been one of the best meals in my entire life. I wasn't hugely hungry so I ordered the Caesar salad and the crab cakes as my meal. Those 2 things alone were good sized portions and definitely filled me up. DH had a tuna dish that is no longer on the menu but I had a bite and it was fantastic. We plan on going back during our next trip. At least I plan on it and can't wait!

I have rarely seen anyone say they don't like it. There have been a few but there are places at Disney that I would never step foot in again that people rave about.

We ate there for Christmas Eve 2008 I had the boiled Maine lobster, it was delicious and DS had the scallops and said they were very goodI would go back there in a hear t beat food was delicious, wait staff was fantastic :thumbsup2

My exact experience! My surf and turf and my wife's lobster were cooked poorly. My steak was over cooked and the lobster was chewy. I felt it was undercooked.

I don't send back food either but should. The service was the best I had had at Disney! The apps and desert were very nice.

I'd give it another chance. I feel that I must have hit them on an off night night from what everyone else has said.

Shasta - it sounds like we had the same issues, my lobster tail was chewy, as well. I felt it was overcooked, but may have just been poor quality. We have a reservation for next month, I think I'll order a different entree! ;)

That really has been the only problem we've had in our last 5 or 6 visits, though, so I don't think it is an overall quality issue. And our servers have all been wonderful, prompt and knowledgeable without being condescending.

we ate there on New Year's Day and both got the surf and turf. The lobster was tough and not tasty! I did enjoy the filet. The cheesecake for dessert was good. The cheese plate was not good, i dont like goat and similar cheeses. it was nice and fancy but i wouldnt go there again. we did like artists' point a lot though, amazing.

I have to say it was just OK. Not bad but not quite as good as I expected. I dont think I would go back, there's other places with better food for less money.

I have to say we are one family who won't go back to Narcoosee's - granted we only tried it once but all three adult's entrees were so oversalted we couldn't finish them. Staff was very kind but I agree with PP there are many other places to have a great dinner for the same or less $$$.

Loved it Loved it Loved it... one of my top picks!!! it is on our List for our 2010 trip and cant wait!!!! The food was wonder... great staff... great location... we had a beautiful view of the castle...

We try to get to all the signatures at least once a year and I have to admit we had Narcoossee's on the bottom based upon past visits but we had a very nice meal there last October that changed our mind. We usually order fish (scallops were great) but don't order the lobster - way too rubbery for us.

We went there in Aug 08 and loved it. I had the surf & turf. The steak was outstanding. I will admit that the lobster tail was good but not great. Our server was fantastic and the view of the MK, the fireworks, and the light parade was great. I would definetly go back again. Loved it. :thumbsup2

We've been to almost all of the signature restaurants and while we really enjoyed everything we ate there it just didn't impress or wow us like the others. We're really looking forward to Citrico's as we haven't been there yet.

ETA: The almond crusted cheesecake is one of the best desserts I've ever had.
