Please let me know your exp here. Myself (DW), DH, DD and DC will be here for a late dinner in about 6 weeks. I cannot wait and was wondering if anyone could share some details about what you ate and the fireworks view. We enjoy eating nything and almost anywhere, so we know we will love it. Also, what you recommend ordering. Thank you!

We have ate there a few times and try to do a late ressie to see the fireworks. Some tables can see it easily out the windows, for others you can go stand outside on the deck over the water. The restaurant stops for several minutes during the show. Also the audio is played there too.

The food is good. In the past we've done the biggest meals (lobster or surf and turf) since we've been on ddp. The next time we will be on TIW so we will try some other stuff.

The place is kid friendly and we often see a lot of families but most kids are well behaved since it's more subdued.

Have fun!!

every time we have eaten here we have had a very good meal and service. like previous poster we go for the lobster, filets, surf and turf. we usually do this the last night we are at wdw. it's usually a quiet night for us and a nice way to end the vacation eating dinner and watching wishes. never had a complaint here. have fun

I had dinner there twice last year, both times on the Deluxe Dining Plan. I had the same exact meal both times.

For my appetizer I had the Shrimp & Crab Chowder. (I loved this!)

For my entree I had the Surf & Turf (this was pretty good).

And last but certainly not least, I had the Almond-crusted Cheesecake for dessert. (this is delicious!)

On our first trip this was probably my second favorite meal, however it was our only Signature dinner on that trip. On our Anniversary trip in Nov., I would probably rate our meal 4th best out of the 6 Signature dinners we had. It was still very good, but the level of competition was much higher.

Oh, and in regard to the fireworks view...both times we were seated right by the window. Unfortunately though, when the fireworks begin most everyone in the restaurant goes outside onto the private deck (which is right in front of the windows) and blocks the view from the tables. This wasn't a big deal to us, but just mentioning it as a heads up...so you will prepared to go outside if you are lucky enough to be seated by a window table but your view is obstructed during the fireworks. ;)

We go there almost every trip. It's one of our favorite WDW restaurants. I usually get the lobster or the surf and turf, lobster and beef. My daughter loves the almond crusted cheesecake and gets it every time. We have been lucky to get a table by the window at times, but as others have said, when the fireworks start (oh, I should add that we always have late ressies) a lot of people go out by the veranda and stand in front. Some of these people aren't even eating in the restaurant. I tell you this to prepare you for the fact that even if you are lucky enough to get a table by the window it does not mean you will have a good fireworks view. The CMS are really good about this. They know that people want to watch the fireworks so it won't matter if you leave your table and go outside. We love it and hope you do too!

Enjoy The Magic!!

We ate at Narcoossee's in December and it was one of the best meals we had at WDW. We had the calamari, crab cakes, filet mignon, surf and turf, steamed lobster, chocolate mousse, and sorbets. Photos from the meal are posted in the "Disney Food Pictures" thread:

Everything was done really well and I would highly recommend eating here.

We were lucky that it was during a very cold spell in December, so no one went outside to view the fireworks. As a result, the view from inside was really good. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. Below are a few photos:

We also got to see the Electric Water Pageant Parade.

If you are going for the fireworks, you won't be disappointed. If you are going for the food, it might disappoint. It's very child friendly.

We've been a couple times and the food is very good, not the best but better than most. The atmosphere is great and overall a very worthwhile location for dinner. Enjoy!

Could I ask for those of you who ranked your meal here as the 2nd best or 4th best of your trip, what restaurants were your top picks? DH and I are going on our first trip with just the two of us in 8 years, and we have 2 signature dinners to select. Thanks so much.

We loved it, we went for the first time our last trip and DH raved about it. He doesn't rave about anything ever!!!!!!!!! We got the crab crusted fish, awesome. He got the mussels appy, I forgot what I got but I remember everything we got excellent. Fireworks veiwing very nice if you're in the rest. or out on the dock. It will be one of the places we have to hit everytime now. We give it 2 big thumbs up :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hi just wondered for those who said they had 'late' reservations - what time do you mean ? Thanks

We ate dinner at signatures every day of our trip in December and we were shocked when we reviewed our experiences when we got home that Narcoossee's was our favorite meal (of the DxDDP signatures). Based on our previous experience there and recent reviews, it was an unexpected result. :)

We had calamari (ordered for the calamari-addicted kiddos), crab cakes, shrimp & crab chowder, swordfish, crab crusted flounder (awesome!) and cherry cheesecake which confirmed that it is our fave dessert at WDW.

It was very cold when we were there so, when the fireworks started, no one went out on the porch and so even my family sitting on the second tier had a fantastic view.

I use the DxDDP several times a year, so dine at alot of Signatures every trip. I'd rank them:

1. Flying Fish
2. Artist Point
3. California Grill
4. Citricos
5. Jiko
6. Narcoosee
7. Yatchsman
8. Brown Derby

Not to hijack but does anyone have a picture of this crab crusted fish? It sounds really good and we are going to Narcoossee's on our arrival night so I'm thinking of ordering this dish ;)
