I have learned that there is a new chef, and have reservations for our first night there. Has anyone recently dined there, and you could your share your experience there??

Thank you, 26 days and counting yippeeee..................... :Pinkbounc

I was asking the same question earlier. I thought I read here that the Chef from Citrico's had moved to Narcoossees. Since he has such a loyal following, I thought I'd see if we could stop in for apps & drinks to check out his work.

I see you will be there before me, if you would not mind , please let me know your dining experience!

Thanks!!!!

26 days till........................ :mickeyjum YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Hi guys,

We just had a wonderful dinner at Narccoosse's last week (Mar 20), it was one of our best meals at WDW!

We were on dining plan and our server Amer was also a very great guy: nice, friendly & helpful. We had no restrictions on the menu, and can order any non-alcoholic drinks, such as milkshake, grapefruit juice.

DH had shrimp cocktails as appretizer, while I had crab cakes. shrimps are huge (at least 20/25) and my crab cakes are yummy (in my opinion, better than flying fish).

The menu is almost the same as the one in allearsnet.com. I had whole marine lobster, it is around 2.5 pounds. I like it better than any seafood restaurants I had, the lobster taste great and they cut the lobster in a way that is very easy for me to eat (without any hassle). DH had surf and turf, the filet was medium rare and melt in your mouth. The lobster tails are also good but not as good as mine.

We had chocolate cake as dessert, which was ok but not excellent.

I have no idea that there is a new chef in Narcoosses, but it is a wonderful dining experience for us.

Do you remember if they still have the almond crusted cheesecake with cherry sauce on the menu? Please tell me they do! :goodvibes

Almond Crusted Cheesecake? Yes, they do :goodvibes

My mom had that as dessert during our visit last week. We had lobsters too :cool1:

Well, that seals it for me. We're just going for drinks, apps & desserts. I'm not excited by the app menu at Narcoossees, even tho I'd love to try Chef Gray's work. I think I'll switch to Citricos if possible. I like their app menu much better.
