We are trying to decide between these two fantastic restaurants. It will be my mom and myself. We looked at both menus and they both look out of this world. Please help us decide! Any perosnal expirences both good and bad. Which ever restaurant has the best feedback is our choice!! Thank you to all who respond!!!:goodvibes

We were regulars at the Calif. Grill until we recently discovered Narcoosees - it's great! Not as formal, but great menu and nice views. Give it a try!

That's a tough choice, I ate at both last December and had 2 awesome meals - both were excellent.

Foodwise I'd have to give the edge to California Grill. Service was great at both places though. Cheesecake, I'd give the edge to Narcoosee's - best cheesecake ever. Also, their margarita was much better (Nar-garita)

We ate at the California Grill and it was great! The food was so good, a little pricey, but the cool thing is that, they give you tickets to come back at the end of the night to watch wishes from the top of the California Grill! Plus I also heard fantastic things about the other rest., so either one you choose Im sure it will be great! Happy Planning!

I would pick Narcoossee's every time. I have been to both, but we had a much better meal at the GF, both in terms of atmosphere and food. DH loves seafood, so it's a bit of a no brainer for him. Obviously the view is a little better at CG, there aren't so many window tables at Narcoossee's. If you aren't at a window you can't really see all that much.

We think that Narcoossee's is just fabulous!!!:goodvibes We return everytime! First off, the food is top quality and delicious! We usually get the Surf n Turf or the Whole Lobster, which is mouth-watering! We enjoy taking the resort launch over to the GF from the MK, it is a nice relaxing ride. We have been lucky to get a window seat each time, and the view is terrific! If you are interested you can plan your adr time for Wishes. The service that we have experienced here has always been top notch! As you can tell, this is our favorite dining destination! :cloud9:

We've been to both. I would choose CG hands down! I have to say that we have never had a single negative experience at the CG. In fact, we always plan a night there on our trips, it's definitely a highlight on our trips to WDW. Narcoossee's was okay, but at the GF I actually prefer Citrico's over Narcoossee's.

IMHO, CG is the better choice. I have dined at both.

I was disappointed with almost everything (including the service, food, and lack of dress code enforcement). My appetizer did stand out at Narcosses. I found they relied too heavily on the heat lamps.

CG impressed me on all fronts. I'd be hard pressed to pick between California Grill and Citricos as my to date favorite.

My favorite is Narcoossee's. It's quieter and the service is better. I thought the food was about the same.

Both are great. However, I actually like Citricos more than Narcossees. And California Grill, well, it's one of my absolute favorites! :thumbsup2

We prefer CG, although Narcoosse's is nice. We had a pretty ordinary meal at Narcoossee's last time we were there, with some service issues to boot.

I think we have a tough choice ahead of us but I feel that either restaurant will be fantastic! I will keep all of you informed where we end up! Thanks again to all the wonderful Disers out there! All of your information has been great in planning and truely enjoying our WDW vacations!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

We are currently trying to make the same decision. I have a ressie for CG already- and we have always wanted to eat there. But the menu I just saw on this site is pretty sushi intensive, and my DH doesn't do sushi- probably not his parents, either. I think I will keep it, because I really want to eat there- but Narcoosee's is tempting as well. :confused3 How to choose?

CG offers a higher quality dining experience.

My #1 complaint about Narcoossee's is that they set the food out on the open, well-lit counter, right by the door. The bugs come in, attracted to the light, and you can watch them hovering over the plates of food. Yech....

I guess if you went in the winter, when there aren't as many bugs, it might be okay.

Cheers!

Wow, when did they start doing the tickets things? I don't remember that??

Rags, I had the same problem for our upcoming June trip. Our decision? We're eating at both! :woohoo: Good luck with your decision! I'm expecting great meals at both. ::yes::

We've done both (several times) and would have to give the edge to the California Grill.
