A new pizzaria is coming to the Italy pavillion in EPCOT. Based on Disney's pizza at other locations around property I wonder if this pizza will be any different. I don't believe it will be run by Disney, but by the same group that runs Tutto Italia.

What do you think? Will it be successful?

Is your family opening an Italian restaurant at Epcot? You are Italian aren't you? ;)

I think it will be successful. It is something familiar that can be a grab and go for people who are grazing around the world. It is also something that picky eaters can grab if they don't want anything from the other "adventurous" places like Morocco.

Being successful doesn't mean it will be all that good though. Disney doesn't have the best track record with pizza.

As long as it doesn't taste like the pizza they had at the Italy kiosk during Food & Wine, that was NASTY!

Only Todd will really appreciate this, but I had my fill of Florida Pizza last week.

I wonder if this is going to take the place of Tutto Italia since it appears they are never going to close that restaurant to refurbish it.

Did you have NYPD pizza while you were here?
No, Pizza Hut pizza the first night, and then GKTW pizza every night after that. It was a new change in policy that GKTW only gives their volunteers pizza when they work the evening shift. That's fine for one night, but it got a little old after a while. I'm not really judging Florida pizza. We all just got tired of pizza in general.

If it is in the italian pavilion at Epcot I guess it will be run by italians or not?:confused3 because I must say italian pizza and american pizza are really different (not saying one is better than the other their just different :) ), wonder how it will be. Here in Italy, Napoli is known for having the more delicious pizza of the country.

Does anyone know if this new restaurant will be a counter service restaurant only, or possibly a table service?

I heard counter service. I also heard it would be open in September before Food & Wine. Anybody else here anything?

Patina Group, which runs Tutto Italia, also runs Naples Ristorante in DTD at the Disneyland Resort (plus 2 other restaurants in DTD). Naples has a counter service location next door called Napolini. I'm wondering if the new restaurant at Epcot will be similar.

Napolini has salads, paninis and pizza by the slice.

I'll check it out when I'm down there next, unless one of the other DL Correspondents beats me to it.

My family and I really enjoy the Napoli pizza at DTD Anaheim. I hope it is the same!
