Napolean Dynamite

Okay, every party I go to these days, somehow the movie Napolean Dynamite sneaks into the conversation. It's driving me nuts! This movie seems to really generate either a "loved it" or "hated it" response, there's no middle ground. For instance, this get together I went to last night, one guy went on for about 30 mins about how it was just awful, not one funny part. He was pretty surprised when one of the people he was talking to said he was dressing up as Napolean for Halloween

Anyway, just wondering what the breakdown is amongst your buds in terms of "loved it" or "hated it" for this movie.. So tell me if your friends loved or hated Napolean Dynamite!

P.S I thought it was good but not great! Gangsta Kip was pretty funny though

All the people I have talked to besides maybe 2 did not like it. I Loved it. I guess I have a weird sense of humor. I have also seen it about 15 times. I can't get enough of it.

First time I saw it I felt I wasted nearly 2 hours of my life. But since then it's grown on me... I'm one of the rare few "middle ground" people for it.

Oh you guys, what a subject. You just have no idea. When I get on a rampage about the movie everyone wants to run away from me..LOL I HATED it with a passion. It made me feek sick after watching. My best friend and sister love it and my best friend even keeps a vote for pedro sticker on her car. I still plan to rip it off!! My hubby thought it was stupid but turns it on just to bug me. I just could not sit through that movie agin if somebody paid me. Not trying to be rude to those who like it but imo I do not see where anyone can find one bit of humor in that movie. It was so BLAH and nobody had a personality at all. They looked gross and unbathed. See, I take this very literal..lol I have no idea why it bugs me so much. I guess b/c so many people love it and I think I have a great sense of humor but to me this was the biggest waste of a movie ever.

DS and I love Napoleon and it never fails to crack me up when I watch it. I don't get tired of it, which is unusual for me.

DH, on the other hand, hates it. He was Napoleon in high school and it's a sore spot for him.

I love it! I have found that the older generation are usually the ones that don't like it (like my parents and some co-workers).
