Oh, it's not that people didn't notice! ;) It's just that any of these nostalgic changes are still 'very' fresh in people's minds.

Does things like changing the napkins really matter? No, but along with all the other 'big' changes, it makes 'everything' matter!! :headache:

Oh, I agree, but, really... napkins that you are going to use to whip gunk off your face and hands, clean up spills, etc. are such a minor thing and with little or no affect on usability.

What it does affect are those the took hands full of them to bring home as souvenirs. It isn't free to buy and put those imprints on paper and the abuse of them when you multiply it by thousands, is significant. So as usual we can only blame ourselves for losing yet another "extra" that once was there to enhance our atmosphere. Humans never learn. The worst part of it is that there is a very good chance that the people that saw the significance of labeled napkins are also the ones that caused the problem.

Me? I use them for the purpose they were intended and when finish throw them in the trash. So... I have no concern about plain brown or embellished. They all ended up in the same place.

I think that is very likely the problem. Instead of just using them to clean up, people were grabbing fistfulls of them, and taking them home. So if Disney can save money on the ink, and less napkins are being used, that is a good chuck of change they are saving.

No different really than the food court at my local mall. Most fast food places now hand you a couple of ketchup packets and a napkin or two. Keeps the waste down.

And that is exactly what Disney is turning into. :(

Wow, really? Saving money on napkins makes them a food court? No, makes them smart business people. I doubt there is one person who has decided to cancel a trip to WDW because the napkins are now plain.

But then, I'm a firm believer that each person brings the Magic of Disney with them to the parks. Napkins don't make it. You either bring it with you, or you don't feel it.

Not a napkin hoarder here, but I do miss the 'Mickey' napkins!

Well, I don't feel the same as your belief that you only feel the magic if you bring it with you. I'm never 'into' the Disney 'feeling' until I get there - then it all just envelopes me. Love it, but unless we're there, except for the Dis, I am not too 'into' Disney when I'm home - so I definitely don't bring it with me! :)
