Has anyone eaten at Napa Rose lately and recall what the menu looked like? We are headed there the first week of May and want to go w/o kids one night.

Call the restaurant directly and see if they can fax you the current menu - I've never actually done this, but it's worth a try. I won't be back to the hotel until the 28th (I don't think), but I could pick one up then.

Definitely try contacting them and if not I can stop by and get one any time I fill up the car, lol. It is not far to drive and worth the trip. I live about 13 miles northwest of DLR and have an AP. I am heading out to tustin tomorrow anyways so let me know before then and I will stop at DLR but they may not even have the menu out yet.

Wow, thanks alot. I will try giving them a call. I had seen the Oct 2008 menu and unfortunately it didn't impress DH. I liked it but I enjoy the Fall flavors more than he does.

THANKS!

I also like the fall flavors and more of the root vegetable accompaniments. Andrew does an amazing spring and summer menu, though. His beet salad always returns and is a huge hit and in the summer, they'll occasionally add his corn bisque as a special soup. It is truly heaven of the harvest! In spring, they will also start bringing in the lobster/avocado martini.

There are many Napa Recipes in the newer Disney cookbooks and may be available somewhere online, if you want to test one or two out on the hubby before coming. The ones that are easiest to find are the recipes for the Sea of Cortez Rock Scallops in Lobster Vanilla Sauce (to die for) Rosemary Grilled Lamb Chops, Grilled Rib Eye With Coastal Mushrooms, the Portobello Cappucino Bisque Soup, the Cabernet Blackberry Braised Short Ribs, and the Wine Country Slow Braised Lamb Shank.

If anyone is going by the venue, it's good to know that the current menu is posted up outside of the restaurant. Usually no one is inside until about noon or so. Also the doors will be locked until about 3:30 or later, as the restaurant doesn't open it's doors until 5:30.

DH and I are heading there for our first time on Thursday--I'll make sure to get a picture of the menu and come back to this thread!

Have fun on your trip Angel Ariel.

Great! Thanks so much. I actually made our ressies yesterday for the chef's counter...seats 5 & 6 (which were highly rated).

DH and I had sat at the chef's counter at Emeril's at the Orlando Universal Studios Citywalk. We really loved it since DH loves to cook. He's always fascinated by the ballet put on in the kitchen. We've been to V&A's in WDW several times, always love the food and experience but are looking more forward to this dining experience.

I'll look forward to seeing the current menu!

LOL - I've also done V&As about as many times as you have over the years in both main dining room and chef's table (I am such a shameless foodie!!!!). I will say that I love both experiences for completely different reasons and I think you will too.

The biggest difference to keep in mind is that V&A is so quiet compared to the Napa. Napa simply bustles all over - kind of like Chefs de France does.

If you drink, make sure to try the wines. Michael (the manager) once served us a Madiera from 1865. It was dug up somewhere in Europe - a hidden treasure. 4 of us split the glass at $65 for 1 oz - it still had fruit notes to it - a wine as old as the civil war.... That was truly an experience....:cloud9:

Then there was the glass of Black Chicken that Saucy talked us into....... a small rare California winery.... Wow.

Our favorite vineyard that Michael hooked us on was Gewuerztraminers from Navarro Vineyard. We served them at our wedding because of him....
