We have the Napa room on hold for dinner the night before our cruise. I was wondering what everyones experience was like? Is there a door so you can easily walk out onto the deck to see the fireworks? Can you only watch through the windows? What did you guys do for decorations? Was anybody able to change the tables to be anything other than the many round tables? I wanted to do something really casual, but I am a little scared that the tables might look a little blank of they are left empty.

I really want to rent a bunch of the pontoon boats and go out on the lake for the fireworks - but I am scared in Feb it might be too cold - so this was the next best thing we could think of.

Also does anyone know what the differences are between the contemp tower and south wing rooms other than location and price? I have never stayed in the south wing before.

Thank you!

Hi Bride-to-Be:

The Napa Room is a beautiful room- and the view cannot be beat. Best thing- You can watch the fireworks through the windows OR go out onto the deck/terrace- they pipe the music directly into the room. So if it's cold, No big deal.

It is a small room- but worth it in my opinion.

tower rooms and wing rooms are the same footprint..just cheaper for the wing because you are lower to the ground and not in the middle of the hotel

Thanks guys! I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are under 50... Its def going to be close.

I am trying to picture the south wing and I remember seeing the old north wing from the parking lot so I know roughly where the south wing is located on the other side. I just can't for the life of me remember how to access it - I have no memory of ever seeing it other than from the front of the hotel and the water way.

I am assuming that you have to walk outside and its not connected to the main building? My only fear is that if its freezing cold late at night its going to be a miserable dash from one building to the next for the older crowd.

We were just at the Contemp last fall. I can't believe I have such a mental block about it.
