I love the name Penelope. No, I'm not kidding, I just love it! I so wanted to name DD that, and have her nickname be Nellie, but DH hated the name.

I also love the name Penelope but don't have a kid named that. My hubby also hated the name so we didn't do it.

I love both my DS's names-

Brady Michael (middle name after DH's favorite uncle who passed away)
Zachary William (middle name after my dad)

I can't have more children but these names are the ones I would consider if I could-

Girls-
Emma
Rebecca (my mom's name)
Chloe
Elizabeth
Hilary
Olivia
Melissa

Boys-
Jackson
Alex
Nicholas
Andrew

Girls names: Vivian and Kathleen, (Thats actually going to be my daughters name if I have one, Kathleen is a family name and I just love Vivian, plus I think Vivi is a cute nickname for a little girl if Vivian sounds too old.)

Boys names: Benjamin, Dominic, Jacob.

I guess I am not very original when it comes to names.

:cool1: I actually expected my name, Vivienne, to show up on the "hate" thread. I hated my name growing up and despised being called Viv. I don't mind my name now and my dh was the first to call me Vivi. Rosie O'Donnell named her kid Vivenne.

I really liked Isabelle and my husband said he thought that was about the worst name he'd ever heard. So, we don't have an Isabelle but now there are lots of them. At the time we'd have had about the only Isabelle for probably 50 years or so!

Hannah and Emily are my girls' names. I was worried that there would be a ton of kids with the same names in their classes, but so far, they are the only ones.

I also liked Danielle A LOT. DH wasn't crazy about it, so no Danielle at our house.

For boys we were going to do Nicholas, but I am not so crazy about that one anymore. If we ever had a boy, we might have to name him John Doe, because I just can't think of anything I really like.

I like Hannah and Emily too. I also like Emma, Grace, Kate and Katie for girls.

I like Kevin for boys (my sons name)!

I have a question though.... this is not critical AT ALLLLLL... I'm just wondering. Why do some people when they have two or more children, use names with the same first letter on all the children's names? I have a hard enough time when they are all completely different. I even call my son by the dog's name and vice versa :confused3. But I'm easily confused so I quess that explains that

I think it is a neat way for people to identify their children as part of a family unit. I didn't choose to do it, but I can see why people would. It is kinda cool - until you have ten kids and reach into the dregs of names that begin with that letter. :rotfl2:

MIL named her kids all K names, and she and FIL were forever messing them up.

I have a friend who named her daughter Vyvyan. I like the name, hate the spelling.

Daisy and Isabella for girls. Mackenzie for a boy.

I'm just pleased that while two of my family member's names showed up on the name hate thread, all four showed up on this thread! :teeth:

my dd name is Alisha, I also like Livia and Isabella. for a boy I like Isaac or Joesph.

My parents did that to my sister and I. I'm Veronica and my sis is Victoria. People are FOREVER confusing the two of us and when I bother to correct them they say "oh, why does it matter? they both start with the letter 'v'."

 :rotfl: Oh well!

I didn't do this, but in my family we were Don, Donnie, Danny, Vicki, and Mickey
(dad, brother, brother, mom and me). LOL

My older brother was named after my Dad, my Mom loved the name Victoria, it's her middle name, so that's what she names me(Mickey is a nn not her real name, so our real names don't rhyme at all) and my brother Dan-they couldn't think of a name and finally decided on Daniel, I am sure they didn't do it to be cutesy.
My husband is Jim and my DD is Julia, and though I liked a lot of J names for DS, I refused because I didn't want everyone to be a J but me LOL.
I knew a family of all RR.
5 or 6 kids, Randy, Russel, Reese, Ron, with an R last name. :confused3
