Name your favorite Disney movie soundtrack

I like Classical music so Fantasia.**
The Lion King
The Crow (Miramax)

** I'm using Classical as a catch all and not specifically the classical period.

I forgot Alice in Wonderland! The cartoon version, I know those songs (in italian) from start to end!:)

**So Noted (Most of the music was from the Romantic Period and Neo-Romantic 20th Century) :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I only understand your posts' about 1/2 of the time. I must be too sheltered. :confused3

I'm with FireDancer....

Fantasia
Lion King

and probably for the same reasons. Fantasia for the classical touch and Lion King for the uplifting spirit of the music.

It's so hard to choose! I think The Lion King and Tarzan are my two favorites, but I really love almost all Disney music.

I'm a fan of Song of the South.

:thumbsup2 Same here!!!! For Christmas my father gave me the 1963 LP "Walt Disney's Uncle Remus" released by Disneyland Records which is music from the Original Sound Track of Song of the South :goodvibes It's easily my favorite Disney collectible that I own :thumbsup2

But yeah so long story short my favorite would have to be "Song of the South"...

I gotta say the Little Mermaid. Love, love, love all the songs from that movie. I used to sing "Part of Your World" all the time when I was a kid...come to think of it, you can still find me singing it around the house!

Don't think I could pick just one, but I love

1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Mary Poppins
3. Little Mermaid
4. Lion King

Ditto for me....not sure what order I would put them in. So many good songs in each. Maybe Mary Poppins in the #1 slot since it is nostalgic for me and my kids have grown up with it too.

Huntchback of Notre Dame is the best soundtrack with Beauty and the Beast a close second. :)

I can't believe nobody else listed Hunchback. Such great, big stuff. Especially for those that enjoy Fantasia and the big, classical/romantic/post-romantic style. Hunchback has some great orchestral writing.

I don't count Fantasia because it isn't a movie soundtrack, it is a conglomoration of previously written Western art music pieces. :)

Mulan
Pocohantas
Hunchback

Love the music from all- now just the hits, but the instrumental as well.
