So it looks like I'll be ending up with a "foster fail." I've been fostering dogs over the last year and this dog is my 3rd. Usually I only keep the dog (puppy) for about 7-10 days. This one has been with me since December 31st with no one seeming to request her through the rescue--probably because she's no longer a cute 8-week old. She's about 10 months old, 30-ish pounds, sweet disposition. Her name given by the Texas shelter she came from is "Rhonda Rousey" but no one has ever called her that. She did have an owner for 5-6 months who returned her to the rescue because their grandchild had allergies (they returned both her and her sibling). Apparently they called her "Storm" but she absolutely does not know that name at all. I've held off naming her because I wanted her new owners to name her. Looks like that's not going to happen and I have to quit calling her "Hey!" Problem is: nothing seems to fit. Maybe it's because I'm not fully emotionally stuck on the fact that she is mine? I don't know. Just having a hard time. We've tossed around a few names: Hazel, Myrtle, Harley, Wilma, and so on. We're just...meh...about everything. Nothing fits. She's kind of got thin legs and a pinhead (sometimes we call her Zippy), but I'm at a loss!
Any ideas or do you like any of the names listed above? If it matters, my own dog is named Ginger so something to pair together is also good, especially if I have to yell for them!
I'm also avoiding my own previous dog's names (Dusty, Whitney, Windy, Paisley, and Lola). Son's dog's name is Pippa so can't do that.
