My son's 13th birthday party is saturday and we are having a campout in the backyard. As one of the games we are doing a scavenger hunt. Any ideas what to include?

I have things like a penny with the year of his birth

a homemade birthday card

then stuff like a pinecone, red pen etc.

I was thinking to include about 30 items. They are playing in teams. They will have cameras so they can take pictures of the items too.

Thanks

A rubber band

A newspaper

A brown leaf

something of a neighbors (that must be returned.) Well, only if you have cool neighbors!

I did this once as a kid and the neighbor lent us his teeth. Way cool when you are a little kid.

ewww - teeth :rotfl: yes I do have cool neighbors. Good one.

sock with a hole in it (all socks have a hole in them--sshhhh don't tell them that;))

three different kinds of flowers

Things they could ask neighbors for (if you have the right kind of neighborhood):

a casette tape (shock them with our old stuff:lmao:) or record

magazine more than a year old

golf ball

a baby bottle/pacifier

a yo-yo

movie ticket stub

a particular state's quarter (maybe any state starting with an A?)

I don't think this helps you but it was part of a scavenger hunt that a local youth minister did for his group.

They had to get a picture of a cop eating a donut.

photo ideas:

photo of a team member:

wearing high heels

on a swing

with a garden sculpture

whole team wearing hats they do not own

A souvenir from an amusement park

roll of toilet paper

leaf with a bug on it

one shoe with a worn sole

safety pin

magnet with a state name on it

Just a few ideas.

The latest scavenger hunt in our subdivision was all digital pics. Some neighbors were moving to Florida (we live in Wisconsin) right after their wedding. The scavenger hunt was part of a couples shower.

Some of the things on the list were - pic of a bikini...a white leg...and a margarita glass. All of which we had at our house. The white leg was courtesy of our dog! The bikini was courtesy of my DD - who was probably 8 or 9 at the time. And - the margarita glass was mine - the lush of the house. :rotfl:
