What are the 1TS restaurants that you would recommend to rookies on the dining plan that you must try at least once?

Depends on your family, but my must-do 1TS-credit meals are:

Must-Do Princess Meal: 1900 Park Fare
Must-Do Character Meal: Donald's Breakfast
Must-Do Buffet: Boma
Must-Do Epcot Meal: Marrakesh

My favorites and would recommend to anyone:
Romantic- Jiko absolutely fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere and service
Character Meals- three way tie between Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Akershus (it depends on what characters are your favorite )
World Showcase-Nine Dragons great food good service (as long as you don't mind the lively atmosphere. . .it can get loud pending when you dine)
Best Themed- Sci Fi, who doesn't like to sit in a car and eat dinner while watching clips from old black and white sci fi movies

Whispering Canyon, Boma, Rose & Crown and Garden Grill are runners up (at least in the 1TS category)

50's Prime Time, 'Ohana, breakfast at either Kona or GF Cafe and last, but most importantly, Sanaa!

Wow...there are a lot of fans of Prime Time. We will have to check that out.

For me it would be Coral Reef - it's just such a cool place!
Crystal Palace for b'fast before park opening - the restaurant is bright and airy, the characters are sweet, the buffet is good (you really can't mess up b'fast). But the best part is walking down Main St. and seeing the Castle without hundreds of other people - priceless!
