I've just gotten over a cold but now I have this nagging cough... I'd much rather have the sneezes and sniffles than this... :crazy2:

Sorry your still feeling poor.

I have had just the opposite. I had a nagging cough for about three weeks. I didn't feel great, but I didn't feel horrible. Last Wednesday, I started feeling much worse. I became very stuffy and had a sore throat in addition to the cough. Unfortunately, I had to take my DD to a college preview in Tallahassee so I couldn't get to the doctor. By the time we got home on Saturday, I was feeling real bad. I went straight to the clinic. They did a chest X-ray and found out I have walking pneumonia. I guess I shouldn't have let the cough go.

I have the same exact thing as you. I have a weird loud cough during the middle of the nights and mornings like 2-4 times and it wakes up my husband and sometimes daughter.

Well at least I was in good company. I'm another member of the "walking Pnemunonia" Club. I've been on Levaquin for 9 days now, one more day and I'm feeling MUCH better. I hope you both are soon right as rain. The couhg is dissapaiting, but not gone completely.

I am on KETEEK 400mg, two tablets once a day. The cure may be worse than the illness. The antibiotic makes me feel slightly nauseous. Yuck!

Ketex was the FIRST antibiotic they put me on back in December, it didn't do ANYTHING for me. I finally gave in and went back to the doctore after a month and a half passed because it was heavy in my lungs. I hope Ketex works for you. Levaquin didn't have any side effects for me THANK GOD... because I was expecting the worst.. You know.. feminine problems, but thankfully nothing like that happened.

Do you get the irony taste in your mouth? Feel better soon hon. Oh your baskets are GORGEOUS!

My daughter had the 4 week cough, then my son and husband for 3 weeks. What a miserable thing.

Hope it gets better soon...it is like a slow torture!

Yes, I definitely have the irony taste. Yuck! I sure hope Ketex works. I'd really like to get rid of this soon. Thanks for the compliment on my baskets!

I hope the rest of you feel better soon. This is probably a silly question, but is this things we all have this year's version of the flu? I didn't get a flu shot this year because they didn't get them in Florida for the longest time. I'm just wondering if this is it or if there is something else out there I can look forward to.

Add me to the boat of sickies. I've had that cough for about 3 weeks now. Its a pain in the butt. If its not gone soon I'm going to call the doc and see what's up with it.

No according to my Doctor, it's not a form of the Flu. It's a branch of Bronchitis that gets worse and becomes progressive. And once you've gotten "Walking Pneumonia" you're more suceptable to it from here on out. So that means when you have a cough you have to watch out that it doesn't settle in your chest other wise it could lead to this again.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind. You'd think living in Florida we'd avoid these things. I've always associated bronchitis with cold weather. I guess not. Although, it has been "cool" here lately! LOL!

I'm coughing too. Nothing works on me but coedine cough syrup. The downside is that it makes you VERY tired, and doctors don't like to prescribe it because its a narcotic and addictive.

I also take Cipro for antibiotic, use Halls cough drops, and at night, breathe Vicks vaporub.

I know it will go away someday!
