Which one will be more fun for kids?

Our kids will be 7.5 and 6 when we go. Right now I have us set for Narcoosees w/the kids and Jiko for date night (kids at Simba's club). When I mentioned the swans overhead at Jiko, my kids wanted to go there instead. We've never been to Narcoosees. Does it have more to look at/is it more fun for kids than Jiko?

My kids adore Flying Fish and can handle a long meal if we bring along a DVD player for them to watch after they've finished eating.

Narcoossees would be much more fun for the kids especially if you time your meal to see the light parade and the fireworks. My DD fell asleep at Jikos!

I second the vote for Narcoosee's. The atmosphere is a bit more casual, I think. And the view over the water is wonderful.

I would also vote Narcoosees. JIKO is pretty dark, would be more difficult to do any coloring at the table. Also, the clientele is more adult oriented there and it's usually very quiet.

Narcoosees has lovely views of the lagoon with the boats going by and the atmosphere is a bit more lively and bright.

I agree with the other posters. Jiko will be much quieter and more romantic for a date night; Narcoosees is noisier, brighter, and more kid-friendly. Have a great time!

Kids will probably like the electric water parade that's viewable from the beach at the GF also. So yeah, Narcoosees.

ITA! My dd is very used to dining out in nice restaurants and is always well behaved. However, when we took her to Jiko last year, she was bored out of her mind and just wanted to go to sleep. (Maybe the dim lighting makes all the kids sleepy?) Jiko is one of my absolute faves on property, and am planning to go again in October, but this time we'll leave dd at the AKL Kid's Club.

Thanks, we'll keep it as is. I need to check on the times for fireworks/electric parade. We'll be there in late August so it stays light pretty late.
