Nachos?

I also like to put refried beans on the nachos I make. I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but it is important to not use the already shredded cheese that you can buy at the grocery. Most of it has some type of perservative on it that prevents it from melting. I always use a grater to shred a block of cheese.

I use refried beans.

I take a plate and put the big Tostitos restaurant style chips on it. Then I "blob" some canned refried beans all over the chips. Then I "blob" some sour cream over it. Then comes the cheese. I put in the microwave until the cheese looks melted.

I use the shredded bagged cheese and I've had no problems with it, but some brands are definitely better than others at melting.

I do them in the oven with shredded cheese over the top and some sweet chilli sauce on top of the cheese, yummy! :cloud9:

Here's what I do:

Place chips on plate, add some salsa over the chips, add crab meat, sprinkle with lots of shredded cheese. Microwave for 50 seconds. They come out perfect!

THANKS for starting this thread! I had to send DH out to the store this afternoon and on the list were tortilla chips, salsa and salasa con queso! I'm passing on it for today - probably will have it tomorrow afternoon.
