If you have the dining plan... and you go to a restaurant... everything on the menu is up for grabs right? Nothing on the menus are excluded (well I know alcoholic beverages are)?

Also, I think I read somewhere that people were using their snack option and getting Mickey rice crispy treat things. Is that true? Also, what else can you get (besides popcorn, ice cream, potato chips, soda..)?

There are almost no exclusions. If you want say shrimp with an entree you will have to pay OOP. I found nothing that I could not have except the Kitchen Sink dessert @ Beaches & Cream.

Yes, rice krispie treats are considered a snack as well as popcorn, ice cream, water, sodas and fuit.

The only place we were limited was Wolfgang Puck Express you could only get fountain drinks and 2 entrees weren't included.

The only place that was flexible about snacks (and meals) was our resort food court PO-FQ. We were allowed to get begniets as snacks 5 out of 6 days (and on teh 6th day with some begging ;) For meals the kids could get anything adult or kid there. We could also order a sandwich and not get the side that came with it and pick a different side. So I got a turkey sub and didn't get the handful of chips on teh side but rather got a big bag of doritos we used as a snack later. We also bought drink mugs so used our drinks with meals for bottled stuff. Mickey Krispies and other baked goods except teh 4.99 ice cream sandwich were allowed as snacks as well.

We were there the last week of October 2005 during the Wine and Food festival. Needless to say, the DDP has way too much food for us to eat, and on our last full day we realized we had 2 CS and something crazy like 6 snacks left so we took a trip around the world in Epcot. DH is a VERY picky eater so we had counter service meals for brunch in 2 places that I knew he would like. Then we used the remaining snacks at the food booths for a long dinner at quite a few different countries. Best of all, in his mind we could try them "at no risk, as a matter of fact they were FREE samples" in his mind anyway. DH soon realized different culture's foods honestly are not bad at all, as a matter of fact, he now has a few new must have meals when we return this October! Thank you dining plan, you saved my taste buds (chicken fingers, hamburgers, and fries get very old after a while) ;)

How about chocolate covered strawberries and those big carmel apples? Are they considered snacks also?

Does it include the popcorn in the souvenier bucket?

No, only the previously mentioned are considered snacks.
And no, the souvenir buckets are not included either. Nor are any drinks with souvenir mugs.

What does that mean? I thought that certain entrees at Wolfgang Puck Cafe had a surcharge, not that they weren't available at all. Which entrees were not included? Were there free refills available on the drinks?
