MYW upgrade-free diining-split resort

Any way possible to split the stay between a mod & value? Dh does not want to stay at Pop, kids do. He will only be there first part of stay. We have a 1 day MYW ticket with plans to upgrade to an annual pass. BTW we also have FREE dining, gotta say it again FREE. Without doing two ressie , since we will have activated AP upon arrival, don't want to be stuck with 3 MYW tickets is there any way to do this? Any answers will be appreciated. TIA

To book the free dining, you have to book a package. That means book a room plus at least 1-day base passes for the ressie. To do the split stay, you have to make two ressies. That means booking two packages if you want the free dining. There's really no way around that. Maybe you can convince the kids that you can do POP on your next stay?
