Recently I bought MYW 6 day base tickets for my daughter and I. These were bought before I realized that DH would give me 300 BWV pts for Christmas.
DD and I are going to spend Thanksgiving week @ The YC.Yesterday,I planned a first trip home for May,so I think the upgrade makes sense. Do I have to go to BWV to upgrade these tickets to PAPs or is it possible to do this @ the YC? Will I get the full value of the unused tickets towards the PAPs? Since I don't do the water parks is it ok if I buy 1 AP and 1 PAP?

When I purchased our PAPs through DVC Member Services, I was told I could exchange the vouchers for the actual passes at the guest services locations at the four theme parks or Downtown Disney. I have a feeling you'll have to do your upgrade at one of those locations, too. Check with the YC concierge just to be sure, though.

Make sure everyone has their DVC member card and a photo ID -- and be absolutely certain you're getting the special DVC member rate. It's a substantial savings.

You'll get the full value of your MYW ticket applied to the upgrade whether you've already used the ticket or not. You need to perform the upgrade within fourteen days of first use, before it expires. If you've already used the ticket, your annual passes will be back-dated to the date of the first use. If your MYW ticket has the plus option on it, you can upgrade to either an AP or PAP if you haven't used any of the plus options. If you have entered a water park, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, or the Sportsplex with the ticket, though, you can only upgrade to a PAP.

Edit: Just read in another post where a cast member says you can't upgrade a MYW ticket after 14 days from the first use, even if it has the no-expire option.

Thank-you!!!Will my daughter who is 12 get a member card too?
