Im very confused!! We are arriving on Friday, June 24 at 6:30ish and leaving on July 1 to go to Universal( so whatever time we want)! We dont plan on going to the parks on the day we arrive but we want to go on the day we are leaving! Can we do this?? Will this require another day on our tickets? And if we dont go on the day we arrive do we "loose" a day on our tickets? Will it be a waste of money? :confused3 Any help will be great!!

It depends on exactly what MYM ticket you purchased and on when it expires. If you purchased a base ticket with park hopping, plus pack and non expiry, then no, you aren't losing money. If you have the expires in 14 days, then you could be losing money, but how many days did you purchase? 7-10 Day MYM have a much lower cost per day than 3-5 day tickets. With a longer ticket, you could go to Universal and not feel like you wasted a day because it would only raise your caost per day by a little and still make that ticket a bargain compared to a shorter ticket.

I hope I haven't confused you. If you are spending more than 7 days at Disney, consider an AP. This way, you can do what you want and won't feel cheated. The break even point is right around 7 days and AP's are good for 1 year.

You'll be at WDW 7 nights. If you buy the 7-day park hopper (or the base ticket) and go into a park every day, not including arrival day but including the day you leave, you will have used up your ticket. If you don't go into the parks every day, but have a 7-day expiring ticket, you'll lose any unused days unless you pay $55 plus tax to make the leftover days not expire. For only about $1+tax more per ticket, you could get an 8-day ticket and go into the parks on your arrival night, since they will surely be open late.

An annual pass now costs $420.68, so the break-even point requires more days at WDW. You can get a 10-day premium MYW admission ticket that doesn't expire for $362 from www.undercovertourist.com - and that's what I would personally do if I thought I would return in a year or two. A 10-day non-expiring park hopper without the plus features is $340 from www.ticketmania.com :)

With park hopping, the breakeven between the annual pass and regular passes is 12 days.

You can get two 10 day non-hopping expiring regular tickets for less than one annual pass.

If you have leftover days on an expiring pass, before leaving (provided the pass hasn't expired) you can add non-expiration but it is actually a good deal to also add more days bringing the total all the way to ten including the days already consumed.
