Just FYI. Passes at the Disney Stores are Still at prices AT PAR in CDN funds. Apparently this is changing soon as they are getting new cards in. With the drop in the dollar, might be a good time for some to pick up their passes for future use.

They should be. If and when the price goes up, the cards would always be upgradeable.

So if I just bought a basic MYW ticket I can later add park hopper - when? When we get to Disney?

They sell the park hoppers there as well. But yes you can upgrade at the park or DTD

Called the Hamilton store when I saw your first post earlier this week and the girl there said they are not selling passes at par. All I could say was "I guess the rumour was wrong". Is this supposed to be at all Disney stores, or just some of them?

It should be all. Even got a brochure in the store which had the CDN prices on them. Perhaps they ran out?

This lady basically laughed when I mentioned C @ par. Maybe I'll try calling again.

last year when I bought them, they were canadian prices but MORE than the US price???

Just to clarify...

I called the Hamilton Store as well. This is what I was told.

The price of a three day regular MYW ticket is $225.78 Adult/ $190.64 child.
That is in Canadian funds. Taxes included.

It is the same price as Disney in the States.

So, that is what I was told. I was going to go in today to buy them, I will let you know.

They are at par because I just got back from the Disney Store in Vaughn and paid $289.70 for an adult pass 5 day with water park as well as 252.42 for ages 3-9.

I didn't want the waterpark option but but this was the only passes they had left. I'm not sure if they have any more but the woman who sold them to me said that there are new passes on the way but they are going to cost more.

Hi, new here, first post, thanks everyone for all your good advice, We bought 5 day base ticket to walt disney at the Disney Store in Hamilton, Lime Ridge Mall. They were in Canadian dollars, Adult was $236.43, Child $199.16, this was with all taxes included. Phoned around to different stores today and had found out that the 5 day base tickets were in short supply. We would have even purchased the 3 day or the 7 day if we had too, still a good deal with the difference in the dollar, hope this helps.

Yes, got a different person today and got the good prices info. I wish I had been told this earlier as I was in Hamilton 2 days ago and now I don't know when I'm going to get there. I have annual passes, but I need to get 2 tickets for my parents who are going this Christmas. Hopefully they will still have some left later this week if I can get there.

:flower3: ~Welcome and congrats on first post!~:flower3:

thanks for the nice welcome Daisy, to reply to Minnie & Me, once we go through the gates at Disney , the tickets we bought will expire in 14 days. We bought base tickets. As far as I know, you could upgrade them once you are in the park at customer service.

I'm not going until 2010 would the tickets be good then or do I have to wait until 2010 to buy? Maybe the dollar will be better by than anyway and they will be selling them at par again.

Thanks.

:goodvibes

I just called the Yorkdale location. They do not sell any tickets with the no expiration feature.

I think we are talking about 2 types of expiration dates here

1) Regular Magic Your Way Tickets expire 14 days after their first use.
The No Expiration option means you are free to come back and take advantage of unused days at any time. It's an upgrade and th cost is around $120 for a seven day base ticket

2) The ticket itself does not expire if you never use it. i.e. you buy the ticket now, but do not to go to wdw this year- you can still use it next year

When I called the Scarbourough Disney store, they told me that the ticket cannot be refunded - but it will not expired as long as you do not use it ( i.e. #2 above) but if will expire 14 days after first use( #1). You can also upgrade it to the NO Epxiration option(#1) at WDW in Florida.

Of course you may want to call your disney store to reconfirm and check the availability of tickets. Also - the best thing is check the ticket before you pay to make sure this is the case.
