I figured this is a better place to ask then any...

I see park Hoppers w/No Expiry for sale on ebay with 2 days remaining. Are remaining days on a park pass transferable after used?

Thanks

What will happen if purchased and you try and use them? Will the finger profiler disallow entry?

The finger scan may prevent entry..

And if they ask you to go to Guest Relations for a re-scan .. the first thing they'll usually try to determine is if you know when or where the ticket was originally purchased... if cash or credit was used to pay for it etc.

If you can't answer the simple questions.. then the tickets will be confiscated. At that point you've failed the finger scan and can't answer simple questions about the original purchase of "your" tickets.

Those tickets on E-Bay are a danger.. you have NO way to verify they are "as advertised' in terms of days remaining to get you get to the gates of Disney.. and so that's potential rip-off # 1.

And then potential rip-off # 2 is that tickets are NOT transferable. So they could be confiscated from you.

Just not worth it.

PS> And as if all that wasn't enough.. in the state of Florida the resale of partially used theme park tickets is against the law. The law is meant to arrest the sellers, not the buyers, but the point is - they take this very seriously.

well, this is not necessarily true......

If you have park hopper passes that date back 4 years ago that did not expire, they will not have the scan feature and could very well have days left that are still valid (I think the expiry date on one of my passes was 75 years from when I bought it). So, if someone has old passes with days left, I am guessing WDW will turn them into the finger scan passes upon arrival at the park but they will have no way of knowing who the original purchaser was.

While we were at WDW last year, we ended up speaking to one of those ticket agents located at all of the gift shops on 192. They claim they found a way to erase the finger scan and they were reselling unused tickets. There was also a news breif while we were there that they had recently charged a vendor for doing this and that tourists who bought the tickets were out of luck as the tickets were illegal! Buyer Beware.

Regardless of whether the finger scan is erased or they are older tickets etc., you have ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of knowing what is really left on the tickets until you get to WDW. This means that you could potentially get there, having paid for your tickets, and find out there is nothing or less than what you thought you were paying for. Why add that stress to your holiday???

When you sit and figure it out, if you purchase a 5 day hopper, your price per day for what you are receiving is very reasonable, IMHO.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

The poster specifically asked about MYW Passes on Ebay.

MYW passes by definition have the finger scan.

Earlier tickets were not called Magic Your Way tickets.

Earlier tickets in some cases had your name.. in some cases your picture.. and in any event... you may be asked questions about their original purchase when you try to convert them to tickets that can be read at the turnstyles.

Used Tickets = Waste of money & a Bad Idea

The most important thing to remember is there is no way to know what you are buying. I have my tickets from our last trip in Nov., they are all used up but if I was a crook you would never know it.

It's just not worth it to take that chance and have a great vacation go bad.

Chris.

just don't waste your money on something like this...pay a couple bucks more to: save urself from getting scammed, getting pass entry, answering questions etc. But on a side note, last year when i was there, entry staff are not really that strict on the finger scan, My card never worked from the 1st day but everytime they just ask your name (which is printed on the card) and let me go in...it's Disney anyway, they don't want to ruin anything for anybody unless it's really suspicious i suppose....

Funny as you mentioned this as before I found this board I was looking on ebay about tickets then started asking people on parent boards questions about tickets and I am GLAD I didnt buy anything on ebay as you cannot guarentee anything and when I went to WDW I saw the finger scan which I DIDNT know anything about til I got there so someone could tell you anything for you to buy tickets and nothing is for sure til you get there and IF you cannot use them then you are out $$$ and have to put up more for legit tickets.

Again DONT waste your money
