MYW package price increase?

2 weeks ago I was checking to see if AP hotel discount was still a better deal for my next trip. (My AP expires the first week of March and we are going the second week). I went on Disney World.com and checked the Wilderness Lodge March 14th to 21 with tickets. The total package was approximately $2500. The ticket cost showed to be $278 for all 3 tickets. That was a 7 day parkhopper with no expiration. Even with this wonderful ticket price it turned out that AP discount and renewed ap's was better for us.

Today I checked the site again for a friend who is going that time too. The ticket price on the package was drastically higher. I thought for sure I was missing something. Maybe it was less days than I was going. So I again put in my dates at the WL standard view and sure enough the ticket price was much much higher. The total package was approximately $3100.

My question is was there a special on the MYW package that expired? Or maybe Disney had something messed up on the web when I first looked? I'm really just curious. The friend I was checking for already had the All Star booked and I told her to call and see about changing it to a package if it worked out best for her.

I know that when I was comparing our current Dream Maker package to a MYW package, the MYW came up as significantly less than the DM. I couldn't figure out why it was so much cheaper, until I noticed that despite the fact that I had entered a 2 adults, the quote came back for only one adult.

Maybe something like that happened?

I put all my info in and got an excellent price on a package and then realized it switched my info to only 1 adult (left off dh & 2 kids). I put the info in and it kept disappearing. Check when you do it to make sure it sticks.
I thought I was getting a deal too. OH well.

I know a couple weeks ago when you were pricing out the vacations on line it kept going back to 1 adult even if you put in the correct information on the first page.

Yup - me too. I was checking on a package for 6 people so imagine my surprise when a 7 night stay for 3 rooms at AKL with tickets and dining came to about $2500! When I checked the info it was only for 1 adult.

Yea I'm guessing that’s what happened to me too. I know I put in 2 adults and 1 child cus the little extra drop down menu popped up wanting to know how old the child was. I guess once I got to the pricing page it dropped down to one person. Guess it’s a good thing that even with one person it didn't end up cheaper then the AP discount and renewed ap's because I would have ended up paying for the other 2 tickets once we got there.

Mine did the same thing. It kept coming up 2 adults and one infant instead of 2 adults and one junior. I had to put in the info several times before it was correct.
