I'm sure I could call Disney with my question, but hoping the DIS can help instead.....:goodvibes

For my upcoming trip in April I have 2 reservations:
1) DVC reservation at Beach Club Villas for April 22-25
2) MYW package reservation at Beach Club Resort for April 25-28

The MYW package includes my 7 day Park Hopper Tickets.

When we check in at the Beach Club Villas on April 22, will they be able to "activate" our park tickets, even though it is 3 days before our MYW package starts? I assume we will already have our Magic Bands for both reservations - so will they be able to link our Park Tickets to both sets of Magic Bands?

TIA for your help!:flower3:

No, they won't.

The only way you can do this is if you go to a Guest Relations and pick up your package tickets early. The resort won't be able to do it; you have to go to a Guest Relations at a park or DTD.

If you call WDW and ask, they will say you can't do it, but apparently you can.

Remember you won't be able to make any fastpasses for the 22nd-24th until you have picked up the package tickets.

Also, both sets of Magic Bands will already be linked to your tickets. Nothing is on your Magic Bands, they're just a way to access what's on your MDE account. And you'll be able to use the two sets of Magic Bands interchangeably.

I don't think this is true. I had two visits quite close to one another---offsite for Christmas, and onsite a few weeks later for Marathon weekend. Once I hit 60 days prior to my Marathon check-in, I could make FP+ for any time 60-days prior to Marathon check in and my check-out day.

We did a split stay between POR & POFQ. POR concierge was able to activate our tickets and we were immediately able to book fastpasses on our phones for those days.

But if not, you can just go to guest relations and pick up your ticket.

did you have a package? Package tickets don't work until the package date.

I'm pretty sure this is true. The OP's tickets are associated with her package stay that starts on April 25, not with her DVC stay that starts on April 22. And I'm really not understanding what you said you were able to do. If your onsite stay was room-only, then you should've been able to book FP+ for your offsite stay once you were 30 days out from that stay, since your tickets would not have been part of a package, but I'm not sure that's what you're saying.

Ok - so I WILL be able to have Guest Relations "activate" my Park Tickets once I arrive on the 22nd?

But I will NOT be able to make FP+ for April 22-24 until April 22nd?

My onsite stay *was* room-only, and so this might not work with a package. But, here's what happened:

I had two stays planned: offsite 12/19/14-12/26/14 for Christmas with the family (at Bonnet Creek), and onsite 1/8/15-1/11/15 to run the Half Marathon (at CSR). I also had linked 6-day base tickets (from UCT) for the December stay on my MDE account and was planning to upgrade to an AP while I was there.

60 days prior to the onsite check-in day* 11/10/14, my available "window" for FP+ bookings ran from 11/10/14 through 1/11/15, and I could book up to six days' worth of FP+ in that window. In other words, I was able to book FP+ for my offsite stay "early."

*: I didn't actually plan on this, or even notice it until about 32 days or so before my offsite check-in day. My first park day was going to be 12/20, and the 30-day mark for that was 11/20. But, on 11/18, some extra Anna & Elsa availability was added. On a lark, I figured I'd go look to see how "available" was available, and noticed I could book all the way from the 18th through the end of my onsite stay, so I managed to grab an A&E FP+ for our MK day on the 23rd, or five days "early."

As I said, packages might work differently, but you never know.

Yes, you can activate your package tickets up to 3 days in advance of your package stay at Guest Relations at a park or DTD. The process is described in post 15-I in the ticket sticky:

But I will NOT be able to make FP+ for April 22-24 until April 22nd?

Correct because your tickets are part of your Beach Club package. The PP was able to book FP earlier because his tickets were purchased separately and were not part of a package.

Update.....
Today is my 60 day mark prior to arrival on April 22 - our BCV DVC room only stay.
Based on the replies above, I knew I wouldn't be able to book FP+ yet, because my park tickets are part of a MYW package that doesn't start until April 25th.
HOWEVER! - although I was not able to book FP+ for April 22-24, I WAS able to book FP+ for April 25 - 28!
I thought I would just log-in this morning to see what would happen, thoroughly expecting that I would need to come back in 3 days, on Feb 24th, to book FP+ for April 25-28.
So imagine my surprise when I could book them 3 days early! :jumping1:
