MYW Package - need to add a day of tix

I called to change my resort and add an additional day of tickets. the CM said if I change the # of days of tix, my package would be recalculated and I would have a higher resort price (I originally booked in May). The CM advised me to just upgrade at the resort but my trip is Christmas week and making advance FP+ reservations seems critical. Any advice?

Call again. You'll be talking to another CM who may or may not share the views of the first CM.

I admit get Disney discounts and pricing can be confusing and unpredictable (and hard to verify because they never give you an itemized breakdown), BUT I always book a package and have had no troubles changing the #of ticket days for only the incremental ticket price (I.e. About $10-11 per person once you have a base ticket of 5 days or so).

Do you have some kind of special offer already? Free dining, room only, discounted tickets? I don't know why it should matter, but again, sometimes their pricing is inexplicable. I have a MYW package for Oct and have changed ticket days several times already and even had a room only discount applied - each time the only price change was isolated to the ticket price or room night price, no other wonky changes took place just because I have a package reservation. Seems worth it to make another call. Jot down your current price, ask them to recalculate with the added ticket day, and see how it stacks up.

I just had a similar experience trying to add a day to our package. According to the website it should be just over $40 to add a day ($10ish per person). The cast member I talked to tonight wanted me to charge us $175 to add a day.

When I originally booked the package, the cast member told me that I could call back anytime and add a day for the $40 price, so I am beyond frustrated tonight. I talked to two different people who both told me that it was $175. But neither one could give me an explanation why, which is the most frustrating thing for me.

I wanted to try to book fastpasses for that 5th day, which is why I wanted to add them now before our trip!
