Hello,
I figured this would be the best place to ask this possibly funny sounding question. Is it possible to book a tent campsite with a MYW package with dining? We're "light" campers- we can sleep in a tent, but we don't really do our own camp cooking, etc... (at least not at WDW where there's so much else to do!) and I was thinking about adding a few days of tent camping to a DVC visit and we like the dining plan.

I know, not quite a camperly thing to do....but does anyone know if its possible?

Thanks!

IIRC, you cannot do this dining package with a campsite - only if you're staying in a cabin. You can put up to 10 people on a campsite, and Mickey's cousin, Bobby the Rat, felt he would lose $$ if he offered the dining plan with a campsite.

I believe that the dining plan is only available if you are staying in a cabin. Not if you are in a TT, 5th wheel, Motor Home or tent.

YES! You can book the MYW+Dining package with a campsite! The others are talking about "Free Dining" that Disney is offering in August/September. The Free Dining package cannot be booked with campsites. But the regular Dining and Deluxe Dining package can. :goodvibes

Thanks Rhonda - I always thought that you could not book the dining plan with a campsite as well. I am really glad you cleared this up, as we may use it once in awhile when we camp.

My family has never done this before, but we are planning to in December.

Yes! We booked the dining plan while staying in a campsite. As Rhonda said the Free dining plan cannot be booked.

Although, I've never booked the Dining Plan with a campsite, I hardly ever cook when camping at WDW, just too many great restaurants!!!

As you stated, you need to make the camping at the "end" of your DVC stay, that way if you have to pack up wet, at least you can dry stuff out when you get home. You wouldn't want wet tents draped all over your DVC Villa :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the info. I wasn't even thinking about free dining- just the paid plan. I can't travel in the fall at the moment.

Thanks again!
