Now please keep in mind that it's still a little early as I post this, so it may sound like a silly question.

As O'Hanas is served "family-style", was wondering if you still receive a dessert with this meal under the MYW dining plan. What I mean is, are the desserts like the coconut snowball, chocolate mousse, and so on, part of the meal plan or do I have to pay extra for that?

Ok I went to my dining plan brochure, just for U. Ohana's is considered a table service meal.

Table service includes : one appetizer, one entree one dessert and one non alcoholic beverage

children must order from the child menu (3-9)

That being typed, this is disney anything could change. I was thinking of the dining plan and the CM sent me a link to the following site:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/tickets/packageDetail?id=PackageDetailMYWDiningPkg05Page

there is a link to print out a brochure.

We were there about a week ago and we were on the dining plan. We each got our own desserts. My hubby got the cocanut snowball, I got the chocolate mousse, and my boys got the Beach Bomb.

The dessert you get as part of the MYW plan is the pineapple with the caramel sauce...verry good I might add.

If you want a different dessert, then you must pay for that separately.

Did you have to pay extra for these items, or were they included with the plan?

Actually, mark, that's not true. We were on the dining plan during our visit last week and we each got our own separate dessert. As I said above, DH got cocanut snowball, I got the chocolate mousse, and DSs got the Beach Bomb. We did not pay extra. They came with the dinner.

Thats awesome, we were just brought the Pineapple and caramel sauce as a dessert and did not ask for any other dessert.

Ya, Sista, we were there over Easter and we all received additional desserts as well. Yum! Way too much food, but still yum!

We also ordered virgin pina coladas for our non-alcoholic drinks. Great deal.

Another been there, done that.

We have been to 'Ohana TWICE under the MYW dining plan and EACH time received the pineapple/caramel sauce and a dessert each.

There were 2 adults and 2 children each time we dined. :)

We just got back and our experience was the same. We each ordered a dessert and also got the pineapple with caramel. My sons ate all of the pineapple dessert and left the restaurant with their Beach Bomb (a beach pail with shovel and snow cone inside) and ate it as we proceeded to take the monorail to MK and walk through MK to Splash Mountain.
