MYW Dining

Can you add the dining package even after everything else is paid for? I think I read where someone on the boards upgraded their package to include the dining, but we leave in 16 days (!!!! !!!!), is it too late?
The more I read on this, the more I think it may work better for us, we're spending $900 "budgeted" for food for a 7 day stay, we'd be stupid to not try to add the MYWD to our package.

I think you can make changes (add the plan) up to 48 hours till arrival. I wouldn't wait that long, maybe near the two week mark. Your payment in full will be due for dining when you call. We chose dining....good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm trying to find out the cost of Dining plan, I downloaded the brochure on how the whole thing works along with what rest. are included, but I can't find the cost.

The cost is $35/day for an adult and $10/day for a child. We spent $90/day for the dining plan and it was totally worth it. We ate more character meals than we normally would of because of it. Each TS came to around $90 so it was like getting CS and snacks for free.

I've heard that you have to add on 3 days prior to your visit so you should have enough time to add it on. I would definately do it! Just make sure you make you PS b/4 you get there. A CM told me when we checked in that they have people buying the dining plan but they have no PS for anything. That can make all the difference!

Yes you can add it, but you must pay in full when you add it. Call them ASAP, as I think it must be added within 3-5 days before arrival.

The cost is $35 per adult and $10 per child for each night of stay.

Thanks for responding so quickly, one more question, if your staying at a DVC resort, can you get the dining option. I'm doing a split stay for two nights at Disney resort, thinking about adding dining option and then 5 nights at DVC, just wondering if I could get the MYW dining option at the DVC resort for the last 5 nights.

the dining plan is only good with the MYW packages. If you have booked the MYW package for the 2 days you rcould use it for those 2 days, but you would not be able to get it for your DVC stay. Sorry.

On Disney's website, I was pricing resorts with MYW tickets and you can purchase a two night resort stay with a 7 day MYW ticket, so does that mean I could just add the dining option for the whole 7 days.

from what I understand, the dining option is only good for the length of stay at disney resort. Technically, DVC is not included. If no one else can confirm, i would just call WDW and see if they will confirm. The dining credits do expire at midnight the day of check out.
Did you try to add the dining package on their website? how many days did it charge you for?

On Disney's site, I priced two night stay at Disney resort with 7 day MYW park tickets then I added dining option on, it only added the dining option for two days. I guess I'll have to call to verify if I really can do that.

I believe that you can only get the dining plan for the number of nights that you are staying at a disney resort.

When I called a few days ago to ask about adding the dining plan, I was told I could do it as long as it was at least 10 days prior to our arrival.... so you might want to call and verify.

We added it 2 days before. They charged a $10 late fee.
