MYW Dining - official list?

I know there is one on mousesavers but seems to have some conflicting information.

Has Disney produced an official list of which places are on the dining plan?

If you go to Disney's website they have a dining section and in the right hand column it says what type of restaurant it is. They have one listed as Unique and special dining, don't know what that is. I wish it would show which you can use the meal plan at.

Personally, I can not find a good, detailed explantion of almost ANYTHING on Disney's site. I wish they'd improve it. I too was looking for restaurants and was particularly interested in what qualifies as a 'snack' on the plan.

I agree completely!! I find the "official" Disney World site the least helpful when it comes to detailed information and planning. So many people plan every detail of their trip so carefully, you would think they could offer a little more information. I'm also interested to know about the snacks - ice cream and popcorn are just not gonna cut it every day. I'd like to be able to have some of the other good snacks (Dole Whips!!) or even a piece of fresh fruit some days. I'd also like to know if we do the Fantasmic Dinner package, can that count on the dining plan? I'm not really sure how that package works. Also, how do they keep track of what meals you have left on your plan? Is encoded on your ticket and they swipe it like a credit card? My luck, I'd loose track of what everyone in my family had already used and what we each had left about halfway into our trip!! I guess we'll have to wait to see what people have to say after the program has been in use for a couple of months - it is only Jan. 7 after all!

Don't forget to read this disclaimer....it says that some folks have reported that the list is not accurate, but it should give a good idea of what/where.....

Does anyone know about Restaurant Marrakesh and Ristorante Alfredo di Roma? They aren't listed in any section.

On the list mousesavers has, Roma is a signature restaurant and Marrakesh is a table service location.

I called Dining twice ( today and yesterday) and they told me each time that Marrakesh will not be on the dining plan at all.

Boy, they have severely limited choices among Epcot restaurants! We had planned on eating at Teppenyaki and Marrakesh, and now we can't. I am starting to think this meal plan isn't such a great deal, if we can't eat at any restaurant we want.

I thought it was bad enough that they made Brown Derby and Le Cellier a 2 meal restaraunt, but not including Marrakesh, the french place, the japaneese place at Epcot is totally insane! I know now I will NOT be doing the dinning plan at all! I was even thinking about boycotting Disney this year, but I calmed down now. But still, what are they thinking????

Thanks so much for finally finding a list that comes from Disney.

I am calling to cancel my package now as there so little left that I am interested in. A few of the signature places maybe but I did the calculations and for the choices I would make I wouldn't save anything and would actually lose at two of them. Oh well, I'm glad I know now and not later!

It's really hard to believe that Cinderellas is still there for lunch and dinner. I wonder if that will last long?
