MYW and Splitting between 2 resorts

Just curious - has anyone else booked the MYW package with dining and split your stay between 2 resorts?

We are going July 15-25th with 4 nights at CR and 6 nights at WL. When I called to book this, I ended up doing Room Only because the CM told me they would have to do 2 seperate reservations, and the park tickets would be charged as a 4 day and 6 day. This raised the price enormously, so I opted to just book Room Only, order the 10 day park hoppers, and pay for food.

Now that this uproar regarding the increased cost for dining for children over 9 has come up I am second guessing. My DD11 eats like a bird which was another reason we did not do the dining package, but if we now have to pay adult prices anyway for buffets etc - it might have been worth it.

I am frustrated that Disney has not found a way to include the split stay in the package deals - we really wanted to try another resort but also wanted to return to our facorite - WL.

With the package the max stay is 10 days. But if you split your stay and want to keep the dining then you need a resie for each resort. So in theory you could then stay 20 days if you wanted to.
Also what you could do is buy the 10 day park ticket for the first resort and then just get a one day ticket for the second resort. By doing this it will allow you to have food every day. Then just save the one day ticket for the next time you come down.

Yes, we'd have been interested, too. In fact, WDW would have gotten more money from us this way; we'd have split our stay between moderate and deluxe instead of all moderate. Of course they'd be concerned about losing revenue the other way -- people who would split between moderate or deluxe instead of all deluxe.

It's been over two decades since any of us have been there (some none at all!) so we're really newbies. The meal deal simplfies things for our group as well as potentially saving money, so that's why we stuck with it for our entire stay.

I believe that it has been reported that if you make ADR's before July 1, they will honor the child's price.

Check it out.

There is a lot of conflicting info on the Dining Boards about whether or not they will honor ADRs booked before July 1. Some say they will honor all ADRs booked before July 1 and others say they will only honor them if they required a deposit like HDDR or CRT. Also there is speculation that if a child over age 9 cannot order from the child's menu or if they will do the price will be doubled.
