MYW and split stays...word from CRO

Trying to think of different options for our fall 2005 trip and was thinking of splitting a stay with 2 nts. at CBR and 5 nts. at WL/VWL. I talked to CRO and she said that if I split the stay between 2 WDW resorts, I could still do the package with dining option. I asked if it wouldn't be 2 entirely different packages (one 2 nt. pkg. and one 5 nt. pkg.) which would defeat the purpose of any "the longer you stay, the less you pay" benefit and she said no, I could still pay for a 7 nt. package and they would just divide it between CBR and WL.
Just wanted to pass that on!

wow, that's good news... but i wonder if you have to stay at the same "level" of resort... both of yours are deluxes... i'd consider a split between POFQ and CR and wonder if that's do-able?

Gigi--the op is not staying at 2 deluxe resorts. CBR resort is a mod and WL is a deluxe.

That's because the dining plan is the same price ($35/day per adult) no matter how many days you book it. It does not get cheaper the longer you stay. But it must be booked for all the days of your reservation and it can only be added to full rack rate rooms.

Ironically, the MYW tickets you buy on the package no longer have to match the length of your stay. You can get longer or shorter length tickets now.

I always thought that is a better idea since you never know if you aren't going to feel like going to a park or (shhhh, you didn't hear this from me;)) want to go to some of those other Central Florida attractions! Of course, with the dining, you kind of have to stick around, unless you want to loose out on that. Either way.... mmmmmm :bitelip:

The room rates quoted (for woodsview and waterview) were $169/nt. at CBR and $265/nt. at WL...Value Season! I kind of said (nicely) that there was no way those prices were in our budget, so the package plan probably wouldn't be for us. The CM said just wait since she's "pretty sure" a discount code would be coming out for the fall and I COULD book the discounted room rates along with the MYW AND Dining Option package. She said neither the tix nor the dining would be discounted, but I'd get them at the regular price with the discounted room rate...back to the drawing board!

I just asked a CRO CM about doing this and she told me no. I wanted to know if codes that could be used with packages, would still be released like in the past. She said no, that in the future they'll ony release room only codes.

I hope the CM you spoke with has the correct information.

So, tell me if I have this right....if you book room only (waiting for possible codes or have leftover park days from previous trips), there is no way that you can get the dining package? Right?

Ugh, my teachers told me that one day I would use what I learned in those trigonometry classes.

My understanding is the dining option is a package add on. (Cannot be added to a room only res.)

What you were told was WRONG.

You CANNOT split one package between two resorts.

Each stay would be a separate package.

I wish CRO would get their answers straight! I know before, I'd read here that you can't do a split-stay as one package, so I really grilled the CM on it. She was emphatic that it would be done as two reservations under one package.
