MyTravel Airways

We are flying out of Glasgow on 12th July with MyTravel, and i was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience on this airline.

Hi Gandalf....

We flew from Glasgow with MyTravel last year, and from Prestwick in 2000.

We thought they were ok. Both times we had seatback TV's, and the leg room was as you would expect from a charter airline. The crew were friendly and the food edible.
The flight last year had toilets downstairs....but I can't remember which type of aircraft that was.....

I wouldn't have a problem if I had to fly with them again.

Is the airline called my travel, because we booked with them but flew with airtours. That flight was awful, cramped, we could hardly see the t.v and there was no way to get to the toilet in the middle of the plane as they had jammed in as many seats as they could, you had to go all the way to the front and round when the hostesses hadn't got trolleys jamming the isles.

Hi....

We flew from Manchester last May.Check-in was a complete shambles,no seperate check-in desks per flight!

Airtours International A330 airbus,seatback TV's,legroom as per norm.Toilets downstairs, food edible.

Battery Chickens live in better conditions than passengers on an Airtours flight to Florida.

And expect the flight to be delayed.

Monarch Airlines are no better!

Flew MyTravel last year from Gatwick. Aircraft was an Airbus 330....new plane, plenty of room, seat back TVs with external cameras, downstairs loo, flights bang on time (arrived early) good choice of movies, friendly cabin crew and food was Ok. Drawbacks were no kids meals or kids packs, you had to pay for drinks and the check in on the return flight from Sandford was AWFUL. The London, GLasgow, Cardiff and Manchester flights were all leaving within 2 hours of each other and there were only 4 desks open. It took nearly 2 hours and then we had to be rushed to the front as the plane was boarding and we hadnt even checked in.

I would give the flight itself 9/10, Mytravel "services" 5/10 and 8/10 for Gatwick check in and minus 500 for Sandford check in!

Would use them again but would upgrade to Premiair (free drinks, kids meals and packs and seperate check in desk).

If you get an Airbus A330 all should be well......

However, If like us you end up on the DC10, well its a completely different story......

I'm pretty sure though that the DC10's are only operating thru Manchester at the moment.

I dont think stats on timely departures etc really matter as each flight circumstance is different. Both our outward & return flights left late but arrived early!
