I just called to make ressies for June 13th. I asked if they took ressies this far in advance...she hesitated and then said yes. So, I told her what date and then asked what was the last time we could eat .....then she said, well I can take a ressie, but will need a phone number in case you get bumped for a company party or something like that. WIERD. I said, fine...I'll give you a number. Then I asked when the park closed and she said they don't know that yet..and then she asked me what time I wanted to eat (ok, clearly she wasn't really listening to me)...so I asked for the latest possible time, AGAIN and she said...well, we close at 3pm. I thought that was weird, but took the ressie to be done with it.
What experiences has anyone had with this place. It sounds great, menu looks FAB, but I think it strange they'd only be open 'til 3pm! Can anyone help with more info on this..
Thanx
Mandie

Park closings during June usually occur around 8 pm or 9 pm. Generally, if the park closes at 7, Mythos will open only for lunch. When the park is open for a longer period, then Mythos will open for dinner too. Universal park hours usually aren't officially posted until 1-2 months prior.

Mythos is GREAT! When we have gone, we have just stopped in either the day before or the day we want to go, and make a reservation for dinner. Their hours depend on the park hours. The menu is the same for lunch, so even if they're not open late, you can enjoy a WONDERFUL meal there.

Mythos will generally only take ressie's 30 to 45 days out.

they will book the entire place for a private party and that is why they need your phone number.

i heard some one book it for a birthday party for 50 or 60 people.
they try to have that kind of stuff in the evening but if you have the money they will do it during the day
:smooth:

Well, I sure hope we're not bumped, because I'm looking forward to going....maybe my 2:45p ressie is a blessing then....

If you are staying at one of the Universal hotels you can use your room key to get priority seating. We didn't have reservations and were seated in 15 minutes. The first time was the Sat. before Easter at about 2PM and the second was at 6 on the Mon. after Easter. They were telling others that the wait was about 60 minutes. LOVE that room key.
