So where were you? We missed you. I even waited until 1:05. Did you go back in time and change the timeline to an alternate 2002?
I was there. I was a little late to leave home, but I got to the park sometime before 12:30am. I hurried to The Lost Continet, and surpsingly got there at ten till one. I hung out outside Mythos and inside the waiting area for about half an hour.
I looked around to see if I could possibly recognize anybody, but everybody seemed like a tourist. I even asked at the desk for a party reservation under your name.
Anyway, needless to say, I got to Universal too late to get HHN tickets. Unfortunetly I'm going to miss it this year.
After Mythos I headed over to POE and put the jackets in a locker and then to Confiscos. I really used to like Confiscos, but I told the waiteress how disapointed I was that so many of the little things I enjoyed were gone, like the fuller menu and the paper tablecloth you could draw on. I didn't really check, but did they take out all the "confiscated" props from all the other islands? Anyway, she told me the flimsy menu is due to the seaspn (i.e. Horror Nights), but I still felt something was missing.
I waited in a "35 Minute Wait' Spider-Man line for over 45 minutes, listening to those around me complain about the wait. I then did Fire Dragon, front row, and hurried over to Hulk right before closing time, and rode front rode on one of the last launches.
I went over to The Studios, and found Doc right at the gate, seeing people off. I went up to him in full costume, suprised him, and got my picture taken with him. He remembered me from the BTTF Fan Meet from a couple of months ago. I got the actor's contact information so I could interview him for my upcoming BTTF site.
I got in line for BTTF...The Ride, and freaked out the people in front of me thanks to my costume. I got a chuckle from a guy in line when I corrected Doc for saying Biff graduated Hill Valley High class of 1955.
I did the MIB single rider line. I had a really good time, following as many rules as I could remember, and getting my highest score; 399,675. I know it's far from 999,999 but it made me feel good enough to ride again. The second time around the kid infront of me got the red button bonus, so I only got a pitiful five digit score.
I rode JAWS, and then Earthquake, though, since it was the last ride of the day, they skipped the new pre-show, which was the main reason I wanted to ride. I spent some time at the main Universal Studios store, and impulse bought $90 dollars worth of BTTF The Animated Series tapes.
I caught the 8:05 screening of Red Dragon at Universal Cineplex, and then headed home
Anyway, despite missing ou on the Mythos meet and HHN 2002, I still had a pretty good, laidback day off from work.
