We love Margaritaville and have made a dinner reservation. However, I am questioning whether I should branch out and try Mythos. Any thoughts? We have already tried Lombard's Landing and enjoyed it. :flower:

Definitely the best resteraunt on property in my opinion. We had never really even noticed this place until I caught some reviews here and last trip we stopped and had an amazing meal!!! It was so good we went back the next day and we were not even planning on going to IOA that day. Try the potion of the gods while your there :)

We were a party of 7 and there wasnt a single complaint and all entrees were just perfect!

We had lunch there last summer. It was wonderful. The chef even prepared a special vegan meal for my daughter.

We just ate there for lunch last week. We loved it! Of course we still had to eat at Margaritaville as well!!

Not only is the food excellent...but excellent wait staff...and the themeing inside is amazing! So much to look at!

DH loves their pizza...I'm in love with their chicken sandwiches!

Going at lunch time is a good idea.
On our last visit a few weeks ago, we went at 11:30am.
This time Laure and I shared a Wrap of the Day, and then had a "Taste of Choclate" which is 5 different chocolates that are amazing.
When we left, a group across from us said they were looking at our desert and were jealous.
They'll let you share, and one meal is plenty, because you get free soft bread and butter to start.
The wrap of the day comes with plantain chips.
Here's my page.

I have a picture of the desert we had, but need up update my page.

Mythos is excellent, a relaxing respite from the park. IMO, not only is it the best theme park rest. @ Universal, it's the best meal we had in Orlando.

Atmosphere is great...they should have swivel seats so you can take it all in!
Some inventive meal presentations, but plenty of standards to keep my meat & potato guys happy.

The waitstaff was top-notch...friendly, yet professional - can't wait to return.

On the other hand, Margarittaville is a "yam what I yam" sort of spot -acceptable food, party atmosphere. If you're up for a bunch of drunks singing "...wasted away, blah - blah" ad nauseum, this is the place for you Parrotheads.

Woohoo!! :smooth:

But yes, Mythos is very special and very good, definitely reccomended.

we had lunch there last oct and it provided a much needed break from the park!. The food was good and the setting was difference. My 10 year old loved it, Best wishes, ruth

Mythos is one of my favorite restaurants ANYWHERE! Great atmosphere, wonderful "different" food. Not your run of the mill restaurant.I have had great seafood and meat dishes. Even the vegetables were wonderful! I LOVE the warm, gooey, chocolate banana cake.

I love Mythos. Its most definently my favorite restraunt on site! Be sure when you make your reservation to ask for a seat by the window. Its an amazing veiw. :cheer2:

It is the best restaurant in any themepark anywhere. The meals are what you would expect in an upscale restaurant in any major city. But the prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is awesome. A must stop for every trip to UO.

only one word describes mythos:

THE BEST RESTERAUNT IN UNIVERSAL ORLANDO OR ANY THEME PARK FOR THAT MATTER!

o wait
thats 13 words
lol

we love margaritaville and we went to mythos for the first time and it was a great meal

Here's that desert I was telling you all about, "A taste of Chocolate."
The oooooey goooooey bananna cake used to be the favorite around here, but you've gotta try the above.

OK, I am thinking it is time to cancel Margaritaville just for this dessert sampler alone. WOW. Should I make reservations as we plan to eat dinner around 6:00? :flower:

Depending on when you're going, they might not be open at 6:00. When the parks close early, Mythos usually takes it's last reservation abotu 3:00. Call and check.

That's right, be aware that Mythos doesn't have regular hours of operation, it will often close after the standard lunch time, so be sure to call and find out.

It's nice to go at lunch time. Take a lap around the park, and show up at 11:30am. You could visit guest services at the front of IOA early in the morning and set a reservation time. Otherwise, you just show up when they open and the wait is 10-20 minutes. If you do this, stand at the receptionist area until you get your name on the list. When they call your name, that's when you ask if you can have a table in front of the window.

If you order two entrees, you'll probably have leftover food and you can take some back to your room. Otherwise, one entree will be plenty and you can share, then have room for the desert.

When you step out of Mythos, it will feel like you've just watched a movie. You'll be relaxed and won't want to go on any more rides. You'll want to go back to your room and crash for a few.
