Okay, I'm getting myself all worried about my flight. I have recently been reading reviews and have noticed that it is possible we will fly on a 737:eek: our flight times which I was quoted 09.00am for doesn't seem to be accurate, there will likely be no seat back TV's, they do not allow my wedding dress as hand luggage:mad: and you have to pay for your in flight meal. Can someone tell me if this is right?
Is it too late to change to Virgin or B/A airlines or something else? We fly in August

Thanks

We're flying on this flight in July

I realised from the website that the flight time was 10am. But Glasgow Airport said 9am. So I mailed Airtours. and finally got this response after them refusing to confirm or deny the changes.

Good afternoon,

The flight times are as follows:
Departing 10:00 from Glasgow, arriving Sanford at 14:05.
Departing 16:05 from Sanford, arriving Glasgow 05:25.

It would appear there has been a small time change.

Kind regards

Samantha

Another site there is someone who knows the inside info for the flights and we are flying The B767-31K

The meals have to paid for when you book. As they make you take it, it should be included in your holiday price. Y

ou will need to check about the wedding dress. email webbookings@airtours.co.uk and they will answer you.

Caitlin it won't be a 737 . did you not get asked when booking re the meals

here is the question posted on the airline forum website which might help you :

we are flying to orlando from glasgow MYT045 any idea type of aircraft and layout and if they have seatback tv

Answer - No seat back IFE on the 767's I'm, afraid. IFE is provided via ceiling mounted CRT screens. The aircraft is configured 2-4-2 in economy with 30" seat pitch. If you upgrade to Premair Gold you get hand held tvs and the seat pitch is 36" with 30 kg luggage allowance

we fly out on the saturday flight and it looks like the same aircraft . hope this helps .

I didn't get asked when booking about the meals but I have booked a package (flight, hotel, tickets and DDP) In the brochure it states that an in-flight meal is included, I'm really confused cause I read somewhere that meals aren't included and I'm not used to this.

how did you book ? I have phoned them a couple of times recent direct rather than go through the TA and they have been really helpful, give them a phone and see if you have the meals in with the price.

I know if you book Premair Gold you have to book your choice of meal (you get a choice if you book PG)

Ali do you have a number as the TA is being a pain about answering my question. I want to know if the children have childrens meals on the flight and not adult ones. They keep telling me yes they have meals but don't elaborate any further. I would rather phone and find out.

Caitlin my travel agent told me that on Airtours long haul flights they make you take the meal so the price is included in the price. Though I noticed when looking online that you can refuse the meals. But if you have a package booked then it is likely that you have a meal. Use the e-mail address I gave you above to e-mail them if you are that worried as they will be the ones who can confirm.

I emailed them yesterday with regards to the above but I still haven't heard back. I too would have thought that on a long haul flight meals would be included. I've checked the small print and it doesn't say on my booking documents but it does say in the brochure.

I would have thought your meals would have been included. You would have been asked by the travel agent if you wanted to buy them if they were not.

What happened with your flights? Last time I read one of your posts you were panicing because the wedding was the next day after your flight. Did you get them moved?

LOL, you remebered my paniced post then?:rotfl: I managed to change the wedding date instead. We are still flying out on Thur Aug 16th and my wedding has now been rescheduled to Mon Aug 20th, I actually prefer it this way as it gives us time to settle before the big day.

:) I am glad you got all that sorted. It is alot better having the wedding a few days in and gives you time to settle in, as you say.

I was wondering about your wedding to but didn't like to ask, glad its all sorted . try and not worry about the flights they will be fine :thumbsup2

Caitlin-check with the airline about your wedding dress being taken on board.Virgin WOULD NOT let me take mine on board last november and I phoned 3 times to check this.It wasn't a meringe or anything massive but it was a definate no.They did put it in the fragile section on the plane and it was fine.TCD might have different rules.Just make sure you have wedding insurance but there again what use is that if anything goes wrong.
It was in a suitcase by the way and they allowed us an extra case as we were getting married.Good luck.Where you staying and where you getting married? :rotfl: :cool1:

Hi Guys

Thanks

unless you have booked Premair Seating you will have to pay for the headsets . I think sometimes your personal headsets fit but unsure which ones

You can buy a little adaptor from places like Maplins that fit into the airplane seat's plugs, they cost about £2, you can then use your normal earphones from ipods, etc in the plugs. Initially obviously you have a small outlay but the more flights you do the more money you save.

I have travelled on the My Travel Flight MYT045 from Glasgow to Sanford on Thursday 24th May 2007. Also returned on MYT046.

Headphones are £2-50 each (or £8 for four I think!). They are the connectors with 2 jacks and NOT the standard 1 jack. Therefore your own headphones will work in ONLY one ear (without an adapter).

Flight was spot on time both ways and I experienced no problems on either flight.

Food was typical airline fare!!!

Films going out were
DREAMGIRLS, CHARLOTTES WEB and ?????? (cannot remember the 3rd film)
Also a selection of various TV programmes

Films comong back were
THE QUEEN, HAPPY FEET and NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM
Also a selection of various TV programmes

Legroom in economy was 29" which is a bit tight so I purchased extra legroom which at £70 (£35 each way) was well worth it.
