i have a girls weekend-8 of us in our 40's who have booked to stay here in a two bedroom suite. I wd love to hear the good and the bad of the suite, the resort, if it wd be good for 8 moms who just wanted to get away and what there is to do. We are doing Epcot one day for the wine and food festival but not really other Disney. Also, are there any requests I shd make for the suite, i.e. Location, view, etc? Thanks!!!

We did their time share presentation years ago (my only experience with them). I don't recommend doing that. It was so high pressure they yelled at my husband when he politely declined. I saw a model room, and I'm not sure how eight women will sleep comfortably in a two- bedroom. I could see six-- two in each bedroom and two on the pull-out in the living area. I think when they post maximum capacity, they assume a few occupants will be children. Are any three bedroom units available? It's convenient to a lot of chain restaurants on Irlo Bronson Highway. The best place nearby to get groceries if you need any is the Super Target.

I think 8 people in a 2 bedroom suite will be too many. The master has a king bed that 2 could comfortably share but the pullout and the 2 beds in the second bedroom are fulls. I dont know how comfortable I would be personally sharing a bed that size with anyone but my husband. The living rooms are big enough if you brought a blow up mattress with you though. It is a nice resort. Lots of pools, nice landscaping and very conveniently located to both Disney and a ton of other restaurants and shopping.

We have stayed at Mystic Dunes several times. The two bedroom units have a king bed in the master, two queen beds in the second bedroom and a pullout in the living room. The resort is located very close to Disney. There are several pools on the property. The Dunes Lagoon pool has a Tiki Bar, this is considered the main pool. Other pools on the property are less crowded and typically quiet. Grocery, pharmacy, Target and many restaurant chains are nearby. Celebration is only a ten minute drive. Celebration is a quaint little town with restaurants and cafes you and the girls may enjoy. Also, the Dr Phillips area (a little further away near Universal) has more upscale dining options.

We stayed here two years ago and the resort was very nice. At that time, they were renovating building by building and we got a newly renovated unit. I don't know where they are in their reno process, but I would make sure to state you wanted a reno-ed unit.
If you want to bypass the high pressure sales, skip the desk near the door and go straight to the reservation desk when you check in. The reservation desk might tell you to stop at the other desk on the way out, but just walk on, lol! We did the presentation and it was high pressure, but no one yelled at us when we declined. We got a gift card for $100.

We were there this year during the last week of February. The room was nice. A bit banged up in areas but nothing too bad. It was very spacious (2 bedroom.) I liked the screen room with table. The kitchen looked new. Master bath was fantastic. Pool was beautiful with a bar and entertainment.

I would never, ever do 8 people in a 2 bedroom. I think the beds in the second room were only full size. Are two women sleeping on the couch? No way. I would do 2 units for sure. Or rent a 4 bedroom house.
