Just wondering if anyone has an opinion of Mystic Dunes Resort? We are trading into this resort at the end of June.

thanks
Jack

Great golf course! hehe...just played it in January!

Ask Tedvnon for his opinion of the rest, he works there part time over the winter months as a starter!

It's right next door to Windsor Hills, great location, VERY close to Disney.

We stayed at Mystic Dunes (then called Wyndham Palms) in Nov 2005. Before going I read many mixed reviews on TripAdvisor. I was concerned before going, however I'm happy to tell you the place was very good. We stayed in Building 31 which is one of the newer ones and at the time they were putting in a new pool right in front of that building. I would recommend asking for one of the newer buildings. Many of the complaints I read were about the cleanliness and quality of the older buildings (although they didn't look that old to me when we were there). Some of the other complaints centered around no maid service but we knew going in that this was not supplied so that was not an issue with us. Our only complaint was that we did have a 1 yr old with us who spent a great deal of time crawling on the tile floor and her knees and feet would get black from something on the tile. On our second day we had them mop the floor but it didn't seem to get any better. Other than that everything was fine. The resort was very convenient to the parks, the furthest park took only about 10 minutes to get to. We went in a part of November which was uncrowded, I'm not sure how the traffic gets if it's around Thanksgiving or some busier time.

Here is cut an paste I did for your earlier question...If specific questions let us know...Ted

Hi, I work there as ranger/ starter in the winter months...It is a top of the line resort with all the classy upgrades including big TV, tile shower and jacuzzi tub, and the location is excellent for travel to and from Disney without hassles of 192 or I-4...they have several big pools, one new one with water slides, a minigolf course, and the big championship Mystic Dunes course...My only advice is if you have little kids insist on no condo that backs up to the golf course. It is just too easy for kids to wander out and there are golf balls flying everywhere. Especially the north side of hole number 8.

I think you will be pleased...Ted
