Mystic Dunes on Hotwire! Super deal!

I was looking for a great rate for a long weekend in January ( Christmas gift for our daughter). I booked a 3 1/2 * Disney Maingate/ Celebration condo on Hotwire today for $46 a night. The resort is Mystic Dunes. We stayed at Mystic Dunes for a week last December and were very pleased with the accommodations. I am super excited about this deal via Hotwire!

I hope someone else can benefit from this great rate!

That is a great deal. I know when I stayed there over the summer, I was a little hesitant as it is sort of out of the way, but I loved it! I was in a 2 bedroom. I would go back in a heart beat! Only problem I had was with the internet. Seems someone (another guest) took in their own wireless router, as the internet there isn't wireless in all bldgs yet. So that interfered with my internet usage. I could not log on The staff were very helpful in getting me to their outside service to help fix it though. However I had to call 3 nights in a row, so that guest must have only stayed 3 nights

I didn't think it was out of the way, especially if you are going to Disney a lot. I loved the pool with waterfall, it's great when the kids are happy staying at the resort some times.

My only minor complaint was the onsite Pizza Hut was pretty bad and expensive but I can't think of another flaw.

We got a one bedroom... big enough for the three of us. We stayed in a 2 bedroom last December and it was huge! I hope the one bedroom is just as nice

There are two sizes of one bedroom units. Do you know what size bed you have? The king size bed indicates the bigger one bedroom. A queen size means you get the smaller one, but still plenty big for three. The bigger units have a balcony, which is nice. The smaller ones don't.

It is ok if you are only doing Disney, but when you are doing Universal, it is a bit of a haul... it does add travel time as opposed to staying somewhere in Lake Buena Vista (which is where I like to normally stay).

Thank you for that info. My reservation does not show bed size. I will request a king at check-in and hope for the best Do you know if all of the units are refurbished now?

We really love Mystic Dunes. Stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom that overlooked golf course and waterfall. The restaurant onsite ran daily 2 for one deals when we were there. One night it was fish, another pizza ( not pizza hut), another prime rib. All our favorites.
