Sorry! I guess thats safer but it still doesn't make me wanna runn to my computer and make one. Whats any different than xangas, or aim, or stuff like that? You dont hear (as much) about bad things happening from things like that...

My Social Studies teacher said "Okay, IMHO I really hate MySpace. There's too many sickos on that site. It's not safe." That was coming from a 29 year old. From a 12 year old's point of view: I really don't like it. Even with private site. People think "Oh yeah! I love MySpace you can put so much info about yourself! You can chat with your friends, and even make new friends." What I'd say to that is "Yeah, you can make new friends, but they could be like 70 year olds looking for younger people." Just stick to E-mail and it'll be all right. It's easier to find someone on MySpace than E-mail.

When the majority of your friends has them, it's easier to talk and send messages to them via myspace. It's also fun to comment people and comment their pictures, it's a nice way to connect. If you have your profile set to private, anybody who you haven't added, yourself to your friend list is unable to see your profile.

Myspace is fine if you keep your profile set on private and don't add people you dont know.
It isn't that hard. I know this sounds awful, but if someone gets raped or murdered or whatever because of their myspace, its probably because they weren't being very smart.

Can we have a rule to not make any myspace threads? Every few weeks there seems to be this thread, and it always turns out the exact way. People end up arguing that it's either safe or not safe. BTW you're not supposed to post your myspace link on disboards.
