I have a trip coming up in July. We intend to purchase an annual pass. I am trying to figure out the ins and outs of how to be practical regarding cost, but also get the benefit of pre-booking FastPass+. Here are the ideas I have come up with - which is the best for saving money but also getting the advantage of pre-booking Fastpass?

1) We have 2 day passes from a previous package that we had planned to apply towards the cost of the annual pass. However, I can only do that in-person - correct? There is no way to apply the pass value to an annual pass from here in Washington, right?

2) Assuming I can't do #1, if I buy the annual pass now, does it go in My Disney Experience, allowing me to book fastpasses even though it hasn't been activated?

3) Assuming I can't do #1 or #2, would the next best idea be to buy a 10 day MYW pass, book my fastpasses, and then convert it to an annual pass when I arrive at the park?

4) Are there any other options I haven't yet explored?

THANK YOU for helping with this complicated question!!!

1). Correct

2). When you order an AP on line you will use the will call number to link to your MDE account. AP holders can make FP+ 30 days out without a resort res.

3). You can do a 10 day if you want. Doesn't make much difference EXCEPT if your pass includes Water Park & More and if you use one of those entitlements you will only be able to upgrade to a PAP not an AP.

4). Don't think so
