I cashed out for a couple of gift cards...Is there a place on MyPoints that I can see the status? I see the points being deducted on my "Account Statement"...but is there somewhere else I can look to see if it has been processed/shipped? :confused3

**UPDATE**
I cashed out on 2/12 & they arrived today.:)
The status never changed on my account :confused3.
Upon the advice of a fellow Diser, I called Walgreens and found out that you can buy Disney Gift Cards with Walgreens Gift Cards.:goodvibes I just got back and purchased a $200 gift card and will be booking our trip tonight!

it takes about 6 weeks. when they send it to you you will see it on ur statement. Dont even bother emailing b4 6 weeks becoz they send u the generic wait 6 weeks email.

On you account statement you should see "fulfilled" when the cards are shipped. Usually takes 2-6 weeks but there have been comments here that the cards were taking alot longer to arrive during the holidays.

Irecently cashed out for a Marriott gift card and I got mine in less than 2 weeks. I was very pleasantly surprised it came so quick. So maybe it depends on the type of card.

I had the opposite experience...

I cashed out for a Marriott GC on November 20. I received it on February 2:scared1:. OTOH, I cashed out for a Landry's GC earlier this month and received it within 10 days. In my 4 years with them, I have found that it really is a 2-6 week window with no predictability.

Oh, and after 6 weeks of waiting for the Marriott card, I e-mailed them and inquired about the status. It still wasn't showing "fulfilled" which meant it hadn't even been sent out. They sent me an apology letter, credited my account 25 points and offered to let me re-deposit the points into my account. Since I didn't need the card until April, I opted to wait it out, but I was very impressed by their customer service:thumbsup2.

Redeemed January 16th for a $50 Landry's gc and received it February 16th.

Mine took about 4 weeks - that's a long time compared to other cards I have ordered. I think that they don't always have the cards in stock so you wait until their supply comes in. If that's not true then I don't know why some cards come in a week or two and others take up to 6 weeks??

Be careful with mypoints ....they are canceling accounts left and right. If you ever fill out a survey that asks about getting stuff for free or taking surveys for prizes...most times it's connected with mypoints and it automatically signs you up with them. They then are canceling your account becuase you now have more than 1.. Thousands were canceled in the last month (I heard due to the fact they updated something to detect this better) Also if you have more then one family member with an account and you both use the same computer...they are deleting those accounts too. I was so mad when this happened to me.I had been with for 10 years! I emailed over and over for a real response, but they keep sending me a generic letter and now they stopped responding.

I alway cash out 10 weeks before leaving for disney lol normally get it within 2 weeks have 150.00 in gc to rainforst woo hoo... think im going to try trex too.

Same thing happened to me! I hope they enjoy all of the free money the advertisers paid them for my points that they cancelled! I used to tell people to sign up with them. Now, I tell people to run the other direction. They will let you earn points and then cancel your account without warning.

Another member of over 10 years that they canceled here. I too thought they were one of the most legit and honest programs on the internet. However, without warning or explanation they canceled my account and would not respond to any emails with an actual answer (they sent standard form emails to anyone who questions their actions).

Mypoints was always the first program I would recommend to people just starting out doing rewards programs because it was easy and I felt certain that they wouldn't get screwed over by them. NO MORE! I don't know if they are having financial difficulties or what but I wouldn't trust them one bit at this point.

Users beware!!

Question for those whose My Points accounts have been cancelled; do any of you also belong to Sunshine Rewards? Do you think that might have anything to do with it?

I don't think it is linked to any one program, although I am a member of SR as well as a bunch of other programs. After discussing it with many people on the internet, we believe what is happening is that when you complete the freebie offers on other rewards sites (offers with lots of yes/no type questions that you complete for 25 cents to $1 usually), sometimes they are signing you up for another mypoints account without your knowledge and without confirming another mypoints account. I know that after completing some of the freebie offers, I've received an email from mypoints that states something about 'thank you for your interest in mypoints, click here to confirm your account'. I have NEVER intentionally signed up for another mypoints account and ALSO steer clear of it when it is mentioned as a suboffer in other offers I complete. However, I still receive these emails from them. I figured that as long as I didn't confirm another account that it would be fine since I didn't ask for it and didn't confirm it. There is obviously a glitch in their marketing and they could care less. Essentially, they are stealing our information and signing people up with accounts with them without our knowledge. What really gets my goat is that in the final email that I received from them, it states something about 'you are hereby banned from the MyPoints Program, and any attempt on your part to enroll again may result in further action on our part'. THEY steal MY info from another site AGAINST my knowledge and then threaten that further action may be taken against ME?!??!? Unreal.

Thanks for the info. I recently signed up for Sunshine Rewards, I think I'll stay away from the freebies and just do the surveys.

Your welcome. If you do any shopping or sign ups, I would highly recommend doing it through SR rather than mypoints anyway. SR generally pays a higher percentage than mypoints and they will also go to battle for your credit for you if something goes wrong and it doesn't go through correctly. Their customer service is the best.

I am a member of SR too but I really think that it is just a case of Mypoints finding a way to cancel accounts of members who aren't profitable to them. I only clicked on Mypoints emails and do all of my surveys and trial offers through Sunshine Rewards because SR offers a higher payout for shopping and they are really good at chasing down credits if they don't show up. It is possible that while doing an offer, I was signed up for a Mypoints account without my knowledge. I don't know what happened because Mypoints refuses to tell me why they cancelled my account. Many of the cancelled account comments I have read are from long time members who have a lot of points built up. The fact that they cancelled the accounts without warning or explanation and kept the points makes this seem like a cost cutting measure. Look at it this way: If they cancel the accounts of 10,000 members who each had 3,500 points (the approximate cost of a $25 gift card), they just saved $250,000! Some members whose accounts were cancelled had even more points so you can see how much $$$$$ this made for Mypoints. If we had done something wrong that caused them to legitimately cancel our accounts, I think that they would be much more forthcoming instead of sending repeated form emails and then just not replying. If you have points saved, please learn from those of us who were burned by this scam and CASH IN NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN! I am so irritated when I think of how many times I clicked on their links and now have nothing to show for it. :confused3: :headache: :sad2:

Well you have all scared me to death now. :scared1:
I won 50,000 points last month. I only cashed out for $200 worth of them figuring I would wait to cash out the rest. After reading this thread, I went in and cashed out the rest! $100 Target & $50 Landrys.

You also have to be careful now if you do freebiz magazines for freebie subscriptions. For the first time ever, last week I signed up for a mag and at the end it brought up one of those offer windows. At the bottom was a checkbox, already checked, that said something about signing up for my points. I unchecked it and chose "skip" on the page b/c I didn't want any of the stuff, but if you'd just blindly clicked continue, it would have hit you with my points and messed up your account.

boy I redeemed around the same time for a Landry's card and have not received it yet...said fulfilled on Feb 10 what does it come by pony express????
