Mypoints & Milesource - Should I even bother?

Both mypoints and milesource owe me gift certificates that I haven't received.

With respect to mypoints, I emailed them after six weeks of ordering my gc and told them I hadn't received it. They apologized and said they will re-send the gc and if I don't receive it in 2 weeks time, to email them again. Well, almost 3 weeks have gone by and I still haven't received the gc. Should I bother to email them again?

With respect to milesource, I ordered a gc through them from giftcertificates.ca. This was almost 2 months ago. After many emails to both gc.ca and to milesource, neither company knows what happened to my order. Gc.ca claim that they never received the order and milesource says they have resubmitted the order 3 times.

Should I just give up? TIA
 
I can only tell you that I have done numerous redemptions with both rewards programs (including recently) and I've always received my awards very quickly. I usually redeem for Webcertificate on MyPoints and get the award within 2-3 weeks, and for SuperCertificates on Milesource and get them in the same time frame. I've been doing MyPoints for several years and Milesource for over 6 months without a single problem.

It sounds like you just had bad luck with both of them and/or Giftcertificates.ca is having problems. I would definitely keep pursuing it, if I were you.
 
I'm glad to hear you've had such a good experience with both programs. It's just particularly frustrating for me since I just started these programs this year. Both gc's are my FIRST time cashing out. I really don't want to continue with the programs if I have nothing to show for it......and so far, I don't. I'm almost ready to cash out again with mypoints yet I still haven't received my first one. Dh does both programs and he has received two gc's from mypoints and one from milesource. Maybe it's a gender thing! LOL Thanks for your input. I just contacted all 3 companies again. Fingers crossed! Thanks!
 
I'm having the same problem with MyPoints. Its been 10 weeks since I ordered my gc, and still nothing. They send they would resend it, but never received that either. :(
 

I am having the same problem with Mypoints. Still waiting for the GC, I emailed them after 6 weeks of waiting they said they would send another GC in 1-2 weeks. It's now 3 weeks and I'm still waiting.

Hang in there Mypoints is still a good program. :rolleyes:
 
Thanks for your posts. Sounds like there's quite a few of us having problems with mypoints fio006, it sounds like we're in the exact same situation. It has been 9 weeks since I first redeemed my points too. Have you emailed them again? Post here if you get your gc okay? I'll do the same. Thanks!
 
My mother has been waiting for a webcert from mypoints since mid may.

GC's from MyPoints always used to arrive so fast! but I ordered one in May & I think it took 3-4 weeks. I was just about to email them when it came in the mail. It was for Home Depot.

I really like Mypoints, but that scared me & I was ready to make DH cash out! It seems better now - more emails, max, etc.

I hope you get your rewards soon!
 
I haven't yet cashed out for milesource, but i have cashed out a few times with MyPoints. Glad I took the advice from the boards and went with a webcert. I recevied the email within 10 days. This was within the last couple of weeks.

Good luck and let us know when you receive, especially the milesource :D
 
I have been waiting for a home depot gift card which I ordered in December. I followed up with them in February and they keep telling me theyare resending it. We even changed the address to which theyare to send it but it still hasn't come. I think I am getting the run-around and they have no intention of sending it to me.
 
Try this!

One time I had what I thought was a long wait for a Webcertificate at Mypoints. I called Webcertificates and they were able to give the the gift certificate number over the phone.
 
Wow-I did not realize so many are having problems with MyPoints. DH, DM & I have cashed in with them almost a dozen times since late last year with no problems. Did anyone check with their ISP to make sure the emails are not getting blocked or something? I remember reading about this a few months ago--not sure which board it was on. Something about how the WC email is sent or something. I do know that DH has a yahoo account and the WC redemption is always in with the bulk mail, not the regular mail. I hope they come thru for all of you!
