Has anyone had any success in ordering a computer from Dell and getting credit for MyPoints? I ordered a computer by accessing Dell via MyPoints and have yet to receive the points. I've contacted MyPoints numerous times and have gotten nowhere so far. When I placed the order, no pop-up screen came up saying I would get points, but I wasn't sure if that always happens.
 
The same thing happened to me but with LL Bean. Never got the pop-up. I contacted MyPoints and they said I have to email them the invoice. Well, that had been in the garbage long before this issue! So, I got shorted X points. I do not remember if it was double or just 1 per $1. I feel like I got stiffed by MyPoints. Good luck trying to get yours.
 
I just ordered a computer from Dell and no pop up told me how many points I received after the order. I emailed my points and was told that it takes 20 days to receive the points. I was notified by Dell that the computer has been shipped. What takes so long? The pop up menu told be congratulations if I purchased anything I would get $2 for every hundred spent when I arrived at the website. I wonder how they know I made the purchase.
 
I ordered a Dell computer last year and I got the points by sending them the invoice after 30 days. I just ordered a PDA from them (since Disney now has wireless access points in a few resort lobbies) and I'm waiting to see if they credit me on that.

Last December, MyPoints had a promotion for 5 points for every dollar purchased through various retailers, and Dell happened to be one of them. I did get the points, but I do remember it taking several weeks (8) to get credited for them. I was told the verification process took that long......but I didn't mind since I was in no hurry to redeem the points.
 
I am having the same problem with MyPoints. However, my delima is with Tupperware. There was a promotion going on at the time that I placed my order with them. I was to get the 800 points for the order plus a bonus of 350 points if your order was placed before a certain date. I did make the purchase during the bonus point offer but MyPoints is refusing to grant me the bonus points unless I can prove that there was such an offer. Well, needless to say, I can't prove it, they should have that info, not me. I did have to call Tupperware to get a copy of the transaction and fax to them before they would even give me the 800 points. It has been more than eight weeks trying to get somewhere with them. It really seems to me that it's not worth all this trouble!

I can't say this enough:

When dealing with RPs, save your confirmation emails from the vendor until you've received your points!

I had been burned on a few purchases made during my earlier days doing RPs. Now I keep the confirmation emails in my offline file cabinet until I've got my points. I know this won't help those of you who have already lost points because of poor tracking by the RPs, but maybe it will help someone who is just starting out. Pumba526, if you don't get credit for your purchase in 20 business days, email membercare and attach a copy of the confirmation email. You should get your points.

Personally, I think RPs purposefully do not credit a certain percentage of purchases in the hopes that the members don't realize that they never got credited. I cannot believe that their tracking software is THAT bad.
 
Aargh - my DH just ordered a new digital camera from Dell and I didn't even THINK about going through My Points!!

mad4themouse - you are SO right about saving those emails - I had a very hard time being credited for an offer after I deleted the email. It almost wasn't worth the effort, but then I reminded myself that every point/penny saved brings us that much closer to Disney again!!pirate:

Me too!! I have been trying to get my lousy 800 points for a month now. The pop up screen froze on me and I wasn't able to click on it. I sent MyPoints the confirmation email, and they said they would credit within 5 business days. HA! That was two weeks and three emails ago!!

Does anyone have a phone number for MyPoints! Every email I send I get the standard we are checking into the problem.:(
 
After numerous emails to MyPoints, one of which included a copy of my computer order confirmation, they replied that my account would get a credit of 2400+ points for my purchase within 5 days. It's been 4 days and the credit hasn't showed up on my account yet...hopefully it will tomorrow!

Save those confirmations!

I have ordered over 15 computers through Dell and Mypoints, for my home consulting business. Lately the points are showing up about 15 days after I place an order, then you need to wait another 30 days to receive them - as they show up as pending. Once in a while I need to send the Dell confirmation in but I need to wait 20 BUSINESS days after the order is received or they will not even look at it. Then wait about 2 weeks from Mypoints for a reply. They always credit the points and state that they will be in your account within 5 days, they rarely make it to the account in 5 days however, but they always make it to the account.

You need a lot of paitence with Dell and Mypoints but I have never NOT been credited for the points.
