It says it's the largest test to date of MyMagic +. Is anyone going during this timeframe and have they been selected to participate? Link to whole artice at the bottom of the page.

The largest test so far of Disney's NextGen MyMagic+ will begin next week for select pre-invited guests staying at either Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Beginning on June 20 and running through until June 26, the test will for the first time allow guests taking part to use all the capabilities of MyMagic+ including 'Touch-to-enter,' 'Touch-to-pay,' FASTPASS+, and use both the RFID Key to the World Card and the MagicBand. The test is invite only, so you will not be able to take part in this unless you have already been contacted by Disney.

As with previous tests, guests will be able to preselect three FASTPASS+ experiences via the My Disney Experience app or website. There will also be kiosks available for those guests who do not own or wish to use their own device to select FASTPASS+.

Not us, but I'd be very interested in hearing reports back on the experience. Why do I get the feeling those kiosks will have waiting lines and we'll need FPs just to get to one?

(no smart phone here... yet... but this may push me over the edge into modern day technology )

The test was only open to guests at AKL and CR. DVC Villas were excluded.

Ooooh, I thought DVCers at AK could be a part of it. Oh well.

I wonder the reasoning in excluding anyone? I think most DVC'rs buy AP's, odd?

It probably is. I just assumed DVCers staying at the AKV would be included. I guess not though.

Here's the notice from the 'Theme Parks/Attractions and Strategies' board as posted by a CM:

As part of the test and adjust process for MyMagic+, a test involving Guests will begin onsite June 20. Selected Guests will be contacted beginning as early as June 3, inviting them to participate in the test. Test participants will:

Touch to enter their rooms, touch to enter the parks and touch to pay at eligible locations starting upon check in and continuing through their departure (all eligible parties will depart by July 6)
Redeem FastPass+ selections at all four theme parks between June 20 and June 26

Below is an outline of how eligibility for the test has been determined:

Eligible Guests:

Check-in date of June 20, 21 or 22 AND
Staying in Walt Disney World accommodations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House or Disney’s Contemporary Resort only

Ineligible Guests:

Check-in date outside testing window (before June 20 or after June 22) OR
Staying in a Disney Vacation Club villa (Jambo House, Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower) OR
WDW Resort Guest staying anywhere other than the eligible locations above OR
Any Guest staying off property

There is one DISBoards member in the thread I linked that is taking part in the testing. Keep in mind that the final product may be different than what those taking part in this test are seeing.
