MyMagic+ has won an industry award for "Experience". I wonder how many in this group voted. While I didn't vote, I'm on the side of the positive voices on this.............. Congrats on the award Disney............

I used to have a subscription to Fast Company. They are a reputable business with credibility. I'm a small business owner myself.

I am personally happy that MyMagic+ got this award. Disney deserves it! I'm so tired of all you haters.

I would love to know what they were looking at for the contest. I dislike FP+, but there are alot of things about MM+ that I like. I love having everything my band, although I think that WDW needs to have a better plan for when the system is down.

Google "fast company innovation by design award" and look at some of the links. I get the impression that cutting edge innovation is much more important to them than practical real world results; I'm not surprised that they find MDE appealing.

This was a past winner.

Well any major company is going to like MDE because of all the data you can collect from people because of the system.

Well also I cant recall any other theme park with this type of system. This system is revolutionizing the theme park industry and whether that is good or bad is up to you.

I'm not convinced the stockholders like it that much yet. When & if the operating costs are under control and they can show some real earnings from it maybe.

A point was brought up yesterday on the dis unplugged podcast. Universal actually tried a similar system to prebook attractions and things like that with there express pass and it worked and you had to pay for it but just didn't catch on. Disney took it and ran with it forcing it upon everyone. And Disney's system does a lot more and has the potential to change the way the theme park industry operates that's why it's so big.

I agree it was over budget but disney still is doing extremely well so I think they'll be okay.

Pretty meaningless reward. They won in a new category and were up against McDonald's, a process to package prescription pills and something that projected bus schedules on the sidewalk. Looking at last year, I see Uber won an award...they brag about it nowhere on their website. Looked at several smaller companies than won previous awards..they don't mention it either.

Not sure anyone is " hating " . The award may mean something to you as you are familiar with Fast Company. I don't think it means anything to someone that never heard of it and had to do an internet search. Sorry, I'm not impressed either.
