Wow, very disappointing. I guess 4 is better than 3 but the 1 park only is still a deal breaker for my family. I think this pretty much confirms that they were taken aback by the negative response to the hard 3 limit so they threw us a bone in the form of a lousy 1 extra FP+. I actually feel 4 FP's is enough for ONE short day park visit but that leaves you out in the cold when hopping which my family does regularly.

I'm sure many here will be overjoyed. I don't know we might be able to make it work, I'll have to give it some thought. Unfortunately I think Sept will likely be our last on-site Disney trip. We will stay at Universal and Disney will be the secondary destination.

Q.
Can I use both FASTPASS service and FastPass+ service during one theme park visit?

A.
No. While FASTPASS service and FastPass+ service are both currently available, if you are FastPass+ eligible and you entered the park with a ticket linked to My Disney Experience by using your MagicBand or card, then you are not able to use FASTPASS service.

However, all operating attractions still provide a standby queue, so you still have the opportunity to experience many of your favorite attractions.

There's a lot of "just use the standby queue" in those FAQs. Doesn't instill much confidence in me.

Especially given the verbage in that about the standby lines "not getting longer", which to mean reads as "not any shorter" and they're already at FP needing levels much of the time anyway!

This stinks because I bought a package, my tickets were automatically linked in MDE. I should be fine for this trip at this point but that means if there's some sort of opt in option later since I have an account and I buy packages that choice will be made for me...

I noticed through browsing the FAQ that the terms "If FP+ is still available" also being used in many of the answers. There was also a note that FP+ is "first come first served" with respect to reservations and they recommend making reservations 60 days out.

And then, of course, remind you that Standby Lines will always be available.

Woohoo. Fabulousness abounds. :rolleyes2

Sounds like all FP+ will be up for reservation - no holding any back for day of visits.

Also sounds as though they are anticipating that some popular rides will be completely prebooked.

It certainly looks that way.

If this is indeed the case, I DO hope they do a good job of communicating to people when this rolls out! I am still curious how the roll out will work. Will people who already checked in get an email or notification poking them and saying "hey! pick me! i'm live!" Are we still assuming this will be deluxe resorts first? If thats the case, depending on how fast this moves, is it possible that by the time value resorts are included none are left as they have all been taken by higher resorts?

I noticed that no "+10" language has been added to the reservation information.
So, for my 2014 reservation, I need to get up at the crack of dawn 180 days before my check-in for ADRs. Then, I get up at the crack of dawn on the 60th, 59th, 58th, 57th, 56th, 55th, 54th, 53rd, and 52nd day prior to my check-in date to make my ride reservations. Tons of fun.:crazy2:

"FASTPASS+ – Frequently Asked Questions
Q.

I’m concerned that my vacation will feel over-scheduled if I have to reserve access to FastPass+ attractions in advance. Will I have the flexibility to change my mind when I arrive at the theme park?
A.

Yes. You can modify your selections online with your mobile phone or at a FastPass+ kiosk. For even more on-the-go flexibility, download the My Disney Experience mobile app to select and modify FastPass+ experiences—plus access your vacation details, maps and up-to-the-minute information.

While you may lose the opportunity to use an attraction’s FastPass+ entrance, there are no other penalties if you change your mind and wish to skip a FastPass+ experience. All operating attractions still provide a standby queue.

You’ll find that FastPass+ service provides you with the ability to experience some great attractions throughout the day with a shortened wait time. Don’t worry. When we suggest arrival window times we carefully consider factors such as the length of an attraction and the travel time you will need between experiences. Your vacation should be as leisurely and enjoyable as ever—actually, we hope, more than ever!

As with any popular attraction or experience, we encourage you to make your FastPass+ selections early as this will give you more opportunity to secure your favorites. FastPass+ inventory is available on a first come, first serve basis."

HERE'S SOME MAGIC FOR YOU!!! They're not going to penalize us if we change/miss our FP+ time!!! Whoo Hoo :woohoo: Thanks Disney!! ;)

Yeah I caught that too. Very nice of them to not penalize you for missing a reservation for a FREE service. Very Magical indeed.

This. This is exactly why when the TaC came out stating if you had a package you will automatically be enrolled in MyMagic+ I switched our package over to room only and then added the tickets later. Looks like I made the right choice for our family (although WL does not seem to be part of testing at this point.)
