My daughter & I were so tired, but so happy......I was a bit upset at how my sister was acting, but we weren't going to let that spoil our vacation.
We decided to spend yet another day at Epcot.....We could literally just walk around there and do nothing else & be totally happy.
We had breakfast on the Boardwalk & headed into World Showcase. It was a rather uneventful day, except for the Ice Cream Social.
We didn't have priority seatings.......but they managed to seat us right away. Upon sitting down, our server thought that we were there for lunch & started to explain the meal. Once she was done, we stopped her & told her that we were there for the Ice Cream.......She was a bit embarrassed because it was right there on her ticket.
We ordered drinks & were soon visited by Mickey.....My daughter loves to draw & was doodling when Mickey arrived. He sat down next to her & gave me a crayon & we just sat there & drew for a few minutes. I shocked Mickey by drawing "Stick" Mickeys, Chips & Dales.....It was very funny.
After Mickey left, things got a bit bizarre because there were security people looking out of the restaurant, into the "Lettuce Tour".....There was a manager looking out & talking into her radio & the security people left very quickly. I assume that somthing happened in there.....It was very odd.
After the Ice Cream Social, my DD pin traded her way around World Showcase once more. We got a call from my Mom who wanted to see if we could all get together & try to have a fun evening to perk my sister up. I hesitantly agreed......& now regret it because this was, by far, the worst night of our vacation.
We met at the Dolphin & freshened up a bit before going to the Boardwalk. I was actually hoping to get lucky again & find Captain Jeff there with another empty boat, but his party showed up.
For dinner, we all agreed to Pizza from the Spoodles Pizza window. Again, my sister didn't really speak to anyone and once we got down to the Boardwalk, my niece decided she wouldn't eat pizza, and my sister was complaining because she didn't want pizza either.
The poo-poo really hit the fan when she saw her 2 friends there. They told her that they were going to MGM for Fantasmic.......I assume they didn't think that she would be there & my mom said that they seemed very embarrassed.
This all happened while I was picking up our Pizza at the window. When I returned to the table, my sister had cleared my things, as well as my daughter's things out of our seats, so her friends could sit down. So there I was, standing there holding 2 pizzas, with nowhere to put them down & her friends wouldn't move.
Needless to say, I was totally livid......I cleared te table, served my Mom, Dad & Daughter & took my daughter to another area of the Boardwalk so we could sit down & eat.
Once we finished, everyones tempers were totally elevated. My sister & niece insisted on a surrey bike ride. I explained that a surrey bike may not be the best thing, because ........
1. My mother has Lupus, Fibromyalgia & Rhumatoid Artheritis
2. My Dad isn't in the best health either
3. The boardwalk was totally packed
4. Illuminations would be over with shortly & the Boardwalk would get even more crowded.
My mom & dad really didn't want to go, but my sister insisted. They got a number & we waited.....and waited......and waited......
Finally, my mom said "forget it", and my sister & niece went stormin back to the room.....My niece was in tears, my sister wouldn't speak & the rest of us were left just standing there.
My daughter & I thought it may not be a good idea to go back to the room, because we really didn't want a total blow out. We ended up at Fantasia Gardens playing mini golf.
This was my first time at Fantasia Gardens & it was wonderful! We had so much fun & we ended up back at the room at about midnight.....Sister & niece asleep.
